A very clean and quiet hotel for a December getaway (and affordable this time of year.) The room had everything I needed for a relaxing solo trip in the sun, with a comfortable bed and pillows. I loved the pools, especially the quiet one in the back, and the fitness center was excellent. The breakfast restaurant was fabulous, with the hostess/food runner being one of the most positive and delightful person I’ve met.
However, I was disappointed with JD Restaurant as it primarily offered pub food with very few clean, healthy options. Another downside was the heavy use of perfume/fragrance in the lobby, main areas, and fitness center. As someone sensitive to fragrance, it gave me headaches and almost deterred me from working out. Fragrance can be overwhelming and toxic to many, so I’d strongly recommend reconsidering its use.
Despite these issues, I’d definitely return during the off-season to escape the Seattle gray. Cheers!

I had room service most of my stay and the food from JD cafe STELLER!!! I recommend the lettuce chicken wrap~ Toro burger. Room service people are VERY personable and let you know if you need anything else call you know like that decadent chocolate cake I cannot wait to go back. Check out facial and massage at spa call for appointment ~also you will not want to leave~ they take you to room with luggage on golf carts its so fun quiet fun to walk around and so many things to do in Scottsdale ~ I recommend the Plaza

The stay was nice but when we tried to shower in the morning almost no water came out. We both tried. So we just gave up getting a shower. .
We called and told the front desk and we told the girl at the front desk when we checked out that the shower water only trickled out

The resort looks fairly rundown at this time. It’s well past its expiration date. Cracks in the walls, and ceilings, furniture tired, sagging, and stained. The bathrooms, though fairly clean are very dated. They upgraded us to a Villa, I hate to see what the regular rooms look like. The grounds are large but uninspiring and the pool areas are grim. The gym was pathetic. The food at the restaurant was mediocre at best. We will stay at a more modern hotel next time we are in Scottsdale/Paradise Valley.

Very pleasant place to stay. It has many amenities for recreation like tennis courts and a swimming pool. Also has a Spa and several places to eat. I got a discount card for use in the restaurant and bar, as well as spa. Rooms are large and comfortable.

We lost water during our stay. We got shuffled around the resort and then put in a much smaller room. We had to move all our stuff across the complex to a very small awkward room. Despite staying at the resort numerous times previously, When we try to seek alternative rooms we were told sorry your out of luck.

Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was pretty clean. The decor however was awful. I don't think my room had been updated since the 80s. Everything was brown and it had a weird smell. It was dark too and the AC was so loud.

First stay in Arizona. The property was cleaned daily. I felt safe, & the staff were very attentive to my needs when requested.

Other than dogs barking in the room next door until 11:00 pm and then again at 5:45 am, the stay was good. Called front desk who offered us a breakfast voucher for the inconvenience and annoyance.
