Employee at front desk was very professional. I was able to check in before 10:00am. Housekeeping however opted to vacume outside my room at an early hour that disturbed my sleep. Furnature and hotel in general seems dated.

Hotel is worn and tired looking. Room small but comfortable, but shower not working well. Elevator shakes. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Would be good if they had valet parking, parking garage is cold and a bit intimidating late at night.

Very average. Super uncomfortable beds. Not the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Peeling wallpaper and dingy bathroom.

There’s a random mystery charge of $215 to my credit card that’s not a room deposit or the hotels.com booking. Now I have to waste my time calling Hilton or possibly disputing it with my bank. Not good. Otherwise, all the staff were great and super nice/helpful. Greedy corporate side ruining it.

The bathrooms are in major need of a renovation, but overall the room was nice, but the hassle of how expensive and difficult parking is makes staying here again unlikely

The staff and hotel itself are excellent. We had great service and were able to check in early and park so we could go to the state fair on a bus. The area surrounding the hotel is very limited. We had to walk a few blocks to find a restaurant that we were interested in eating at, three times we wanted coffee. We found two Caribou shops, both of which were closed so we ended up going to the small restaurant/ bar in the hotel and asking them to make a pot of coffee for us. For being the state capital this area of the downtown has nothing. There was no outdoor seating , and the main bar was closed for good. There is no breakfast provided at this hotel. There was a restaurant with limited options and expensive. I might add within the hotel. We set out walking once again in the morning and found nothing to eat for breakfast. We may have missed something but we did a lot of walking in our search . If you are looking to go away and have a relaxing stay with some fun things and options to do at night this is extremely limited.

Front desk staff on check in day was rude. Spoke over me when I'm not even done speaking. Rushed me thru the check in process. But I did noticed she treated other customers differently. Not acceptable at all. The rest of the other staff were friendly though. Great hotel location. Deducted 1 star for the construction and the rude staff.

Upon check-in the front desk person seemed annoyed and frustrated. Maybe she was just having a bad day. The other staff memebers made up for it and were very helpful.

The staff stood out for how friendly they were. Maybe I have spent too much time outside the Midwest and normal people just stand out, but I was always really satisfied with any and all interactions I had with the folks who worked at the hotel.

Property was nice, staff was impeccable! Needs a bit of an update but clean and cozy. Gym was really nice. Stayed on the 17th floor. Beautiful views of St Paul.

Close to events and restaurants. Having the public transit right next to it is great for going places, but horrible for the amount of homeless people passed out around it.

The building/hotel itself appears to be old and therefore fixtures, furnishings, and other aspects are outdated or old. Nice enough hotel overall though and staff was okay- but no wow factors were super over the top compared to other places I’ve stayed.
On the note of the buildings age and accessibility however. my accessibility room, while appearing to be outfitted for a wheelchair user, would still have created SEVERAL barriers and safety issues for a person with a lesser ambulatory capacity than myself and ultimately did not feel safe/up to standard for access.
Furthermore, if it were an accessible room meant for a def or hard or hearing person, the light alert system had no button outside the door to activate the alert light (knocking on the door wouldn’t notify a HoH person emergency or otherwise) and one particular device looked more like a security camera inside the hotel room (a sticker on the device made mention of a lens-and I don’t believe emergency warning lights would require lenses). The device had what appeared to be a red recording light on it as well
When asking staff, I was told it was a fire warning system but The device in question was separate from the fire alarm/light system which were clearly labeled FIRE, had no lights turned on, duplicates existed throughout the building and on separate walls where as the device in question had nothing indicating an emergency, fire or warning system, it had a lense and a red light was on.

Rooms could probably use an update. There was rust spots all over the metal frame of the mirror and light fixtures in the bathroom
