The staff was so kind and went out of their way to continually check in on us and accommodate for our needs. We were even permitted a room change on our second day so that we could have a room with a street view balcony. The property is beautiful, quiet, and clean. Would definitely return and/or recommend this stay!

This was our second stay with Casa La Cartujita (we stayed there before the pandemic). It is located in a quieter part of the Walled City (further from the busiest touristy areas), but still within short walking distances of many excellent restaurants and shopping.
The staff is very accommodating. Rooms were clean, with excellent double-paned windows (we didn't hear any noise from the street at night). They make a very tasty breakfast to order, which was very convenient. Not everyone spoke English well, but we never had any issues communicating.
Most rooms are upstairs (~1 flight of stairs). Staff is helpful with the bags, but something to keep in mind if anyone has issues with mobility.
Overall, an excellent stay!

We spent two wonderful nights at Casa La Cartujita. The only regret is that we weren’t able to stay longer! Great, walkable area with many shops, restaurants, and sites around. The staff went above and beyond in every aspect. The area also felt safe - even when walking around alone (40 year old woman). Breakfast was lovely and delicious and the pool gave us a nice break from the heat.

Excellent location, is close to many high rated restaurants, shops and La Serrezuela mall (Best for its architectural beauty, international and local designer shops) on a beautiful not as busy street. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated, with great A/C. There are several areas to hang around and/or work within the house. Pools in boutique hotels in Cartagena are small, this one has pool and rooftop with jacuzzi which is a plus. I have stayed here twice already, just love it!

An absolute must stay! Extremely clean and convenient to attractions and restaurants in walking distance. James and Jehis are so professional and the chef did a tremendous job cooking our complimentary morning breakfast which was to die for. There are taxi's all around to take you to attractions. There is a plunge pool on the bottom level and hot tub on the roof top. You don't have to leave the premises unless you want to. The front desk can order items for you. My husband and I ordered a bottle of wine from the front desk and also laundry service. Don't hesitate when booking this hotel.

A gem! I booked a last minute solo trip to Cartagena as a way to bring in the new year. I was searching all over for a hotel with good reviews, convenient area, and great price. This place was it. It’s located close to great restaurants, shopping, and all of the amazing architecture that draws people to the walled city. The room itself was a good size and has the basics. They didn’t have an iron though so if you need one you’ll have to ask. The room was very clean and well air conditioned upon arrival. They also had fresh flowers, complimentary water, and calming music playing on the tv. A great way to feel at peace after a long flight from the U.S. I also like that even though there is a balcony and it’s on a busy street, there was minimal noise coming in. The bed was firm but it ended up being some of the best sleep I’ve had in months. My one negative callout was that the washcloths in the bathroom looked a little old and worn down. I slightly questioned their cleanliness so I didn’t use them. But everything else in the room was spotless. The free breakfast was a great way to start the morning. It isn’t extravagant but just enough to fill your belly before running off to explore the city. My favorite part of my stay was the staff. They are an EXCELLENT group who are pleasant, attentive, and helpful with whatever you need. It know it seems like that’s something you should expect from any hotel but that hasn’t always been my experience. Anyway, I Would recommend staying here

This is a beautiful, quiet, lovely hotel. There is breakfast in the morning, with a cook who will make anything from their menu or anything else you can think to request. The staff are calm people who quietly helped with anything we needed. Only two complaints: 1) the television didn’t work, essentially - there were Netflix and other streaming services, but the internet never worked. Regular TV meant Spanish, and we don’t speak it, and 2) in our way out for the final time, it was early morning and dark outside. There was nothing illuminating the dark stairway, and I took a bit of a fall. Having said that, I would highly recommend this sweet, pretty little. hotel.

We stayed in this property as a baby moon getaway and it was perfect. We arrived early for check in since our flight got in early & they were able to accommodate us. The entire staff at this hotel is extremely hospitable & pleasant, from Alex to Juan Pablo to the cook, everyone was so lovely. The staff here always made us feel welcome & helped with any questions we had along the way during our stay. The stay includes breakfast that an actual cook prepares fresh for you each morning. By our last day the cook knew exactly who ate & drank what, it was perfect. The breakfast options aren't fancy but certainly not just a continental American breakfast so that was fantastic, we had fresh fruit every morning, eggs how we wanted them, a meat choice and bread along w/ fresh squeezed orange juice, coffee, hot chocolate or tea. We stayed in one of the front rooms on the second floor and used our balcony each night to look out at the street even though it was street facing the doors are double panned which helped keep out noise. The location of the hotel is ideal, if you're looking to stay in the walled city, this is a great option. There are plenty of food options in the walled city and just around the corner of this hotel street there are three restaurants all worth checking out. You can't go wrong on the location, service and stay quality. I'm a stiff lip with hotels but was very pleased with our stay here and would highly recommend it.

This hotel has a zen-like ambiance with wonderful personal service. The roof top soaking pool, included made to order breakfast, and charming feel, all make this a great place to stay within the walled old city.

Proved to be a very nice hotel that was well located. It did everything right from a necessities point of view (which is the most important) but felt a bit lacking in personality or the communal spaces. The good: great location; air conditioning was top notch; very clean and good bathroom facilities. The not so good: felt rather cramped; the pool is tiny and awkwardly located - I viewed it as unusable and didn’t see anyone else in it; in the first day I got back to my room in the middle of it being cleaned - a mop was still there, but the cleaning person was gone and the door was left open - at no point did the place feel unsafe but that shouldn’t have happened. All in all, it was a good stay, but not great - would ideally find a place with a pool that could be used.
