This is an older hotel and looks like very little has been done to upgrade it over the years. A great view of the beach and boardwalk but not much else. Location is excellent and hotel was clean and quiet. A great value for a very basic room.

This was the most disappointing stay I have ever had the Atlantic Sands. The toilet had a "trickle" refill after flushing it - it took 15 minutes before you could flush it again. There was a stain on the floor of the shower and the drain to the sink was slow. Additionally, when my wife went to use the kitchen sink - BLACK water came out of the drain until it cleared up after about 60 seconds of constantly running it. Additionally, our "Do Not Disturb" sign was ignored. My wife and I left it on the door and upon our return the sliding glass door to the balcony was left unlocked, we were missing a bath mat and the lights were left on in the room when WE DID NOT WANT OUR ROOM CLEANED. My wife and I have been going to the Atlantic Sands for over 5 years but the Boardwalk Plaza Hotel is starting to look VERY appealing for future stays. We paid for the location on this stay - certainly not what the hotel offered internally.

Not the first time we've stayed at this hotel, but it is the first in a couple years. It never disappoints, is always clean, staff are always pleasant and accommodating. We love Rehoboth Beach and will always consider when returning.

Stayed for two nights while doing the Rehoboth half marathon.Room was clean upon arrival was able to check in early. Bed was comfortable. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel is a great location i walked everywhere.

Upon arrival we had to wait almost 5 min. for the clerk to show up smelling like smoke. We ended up in a handicap room which was not explained to us upfront. I understand it's winter, but the floors in the bathroom were raucously ice cold. The shower was barley warm enough. There wasn't even one ice machine that worked on any of the floors....Very Disappointed Stay, WON'T BE BACK EVER. Robert Flagler

Came for just 1 night to visit Schellville. Checkin easy as pie. Front desk staff friendly as can be. View of ocean was nice. Wish they recycling bins. Room was nice with cable, mini fridge and microwave. Parking was easy and convenient: overall a good experience would return

I’ve stayed at this hotel many times. It’s always been top notch. This particular trip had a few small issues. The wall mirror was missing off the wall in the room. Three girls in a room and only a bathroom mirror available on Halloween costume weekend. That was tricky. One of the beds had no fitted sheet. I told the front desk and that was corrected very quickly. Excellent staff. Always so friendly and personable. Easy check in and check out. Definitely recommend.

My visit to Rehoboth Beach Delaware was truly great. I attended several jazz shows. My stay in the Atlantic Sands was comfortable. I especially liked staying in the downtown area right on the boatdwalk. A lot of places to have good meals was within walking distance from the Atlantic Sands Hotel.

Smoke alarm went off 5 time throughout the night and into the early morning. Load wedding guests swimming in pool after pool was closed. Beds were horrible. Only thing good was Great location to Beach and boardwalk. Will never stay here again.

As always, our stay was amazing. Front desk staff is always friendly as are all the staff you pass in the hallways. Rooms are always spotless. The view from the balcony cannot be beat. It’s great to be able to park your car & just walk around beautiful Rehobeth.

Front desk person was not exactly welcoming. Very difficult layout. Very hard to find our way around. Need to give people a layout/map of hotel. House keeping people did not speak English so could not help. But were very nice. Restaurant was the best! Beautiful bar for good breakfast overlooking the Ocean.

Checked in, checked the room, and checked our view. We were in a corner room so our balcony was getting all of the water from the air conditioners above on to our balcony. We notified the staff that you were getting Splash back from air conditioners above and are un able to use the balcony. They said "We will look into it give us 2 hours and will call you with an update." We went about our way and never got an update. When we came back and asked what was the outcome they said "It was fixed" They WERE VERY Short and projected they were annoyed and did not really care. Unfortunately, we're going to look into other hotels this one in particular is starting to show its age and we don't feel welcome. We've been coming here for 5 years and it just continues to decline in amenities as well as the respect of the staff. $300 off season is quite pricey for the inconvenience we had to put up with.

We were given a disabled person room, which I suppose may have just been the luck of the draw. While there was no specific drawback to having such a room, it meant that the shower head was not easy to work under, since it was set up for a different method of use. Otherwise, the room was clean and well-attended, quiet for the most part (can't fault you for the small screaming child next door for two of our six nights), and we felt like we were well taken care of.

The hotel is modern and clean, and very well located, being right on the Boardwalk and one block from the major shopping district. The attached restaurant has good food and decent prices. On the down side, the restaurant can be chilly due to its open windows. I thought the front desk staff to be curt and disinterested, but the maids were pleasant and helpful.

The location of the Sands can’t be beat, right off the boardwalk with the pool an easy stop on your way from beach to hotel room. The room was clean and comfortable but the walls were very thin and the hotel could use an update.
