We arrived on Friday night for a funeral in the chapel mid-day on Saturday. Since we met extended family there, we were delighted with the beautiful lobby area with a fireplace and comfortable furniture. The person who checked was in and out was outstanding - efficient and friendly. The room had a view of the mountains and lake. The king bed was very comfortable. The pillow choices were limited. The linens were very good. The breakfast was a bit better than traditional hot breakfast buffets. The staff member was eager to please the guests. My only disappointment was the coffee. It was weak and tasteless. The bathroom was dated but clean. I would reconsider this hotel to anyone visiting Lake Junaluska. I would strongly recommend clear signage to the hotel and parking. Trying to navigate that in the dark was frustrating and could have been dangerous.

The Terrace is clean and comfortable. The view is beautiful. You can take a walk around the lake, or just walk the rose lined side walk.

Pleasant staff, clean, quiet. However, the restaurant wasn't open and that's one of the reasons I chose to stay here. They gave me an excuse having something to do with this being a convention hotel, but the hotel seems empty on this Labor Day night. No screens on the windows, which I would otherwise have opened.

Very dated property, especially the bathrooms. No restaurant as advertised, no bar. Religious markings everywhere even in the shower. No mention on websites that it’s a religiously owned compound. Uncomfortable beds, loud rattling AC unit in the room. Only good part of the stay was the lake view.

They charged my card $68 for one night's stay, and have not refunded the difference. Staff struggle to check in and check out guests. Hot items at breakfast were cold. Bread had mold.

The place is lovely. I saw probably the most beautiful sunrise I've ever seen from the 3rd floor of the Terrace.

Pros: the view from the room was stunning and the area surrounding the property is nice! Especially the trail around the lake!
Cons: Room was dated and unclean. When entering the room, there were dirty towels by the ac unit and the bathroom had dirt coating the bottom of the tub. The paint/seals were dry and cracking around the tub area as well along with rusty fixtures. The sheets had a few light stains as well.
Overall: The area is great but would recommend looking for a different place to stay as cleanliness was an issue for the property.

The staff at the front desk and the restaurant were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a large, excellent lobby and great terrace views of the lake. Our two-night stay was brief but all went smoothly and we will be back.

Beautiful location.
Thin walls, apathetic service, subpar food on buffet.
Second time staying here, NOT as good as previous stay. Disappointed.

Overall stay was awesome! The staff members were friendly. The breakfast had a variety of options. Lake Junaluska is breathtaking! The only negative our shower didn’t drain properly. We stood in ankle deep water. Our room was 1635 in the Terrace.
