great! here cuz i got an off-season deal. superb included breakfast, wonderful staff, etc. only critical comment is that housekeeping doesn't need to put two fresh (wonderfully soft and huge) bath towels every day, when i've only used one, nor two more shampoos etc every day, when i've only used half of one. not a big deal in the scheme of things, and it is a four star hotel etc, but staff could be trained to be more 'eco-friendly'. wonderful hotel, even when too cold for the beach.

Our stay was wonderful from start to finish, the room had a fantastic view across to the pier and sea. Our bed was so comfortable and the room was large with everything we needed.

The best aspects of this hotel are its excellent location, the quality of the restaurant, the cleanliness, and the kindness of the staff.
A very lovely lady named Mina was working at the Crab Restaurant. She was well-behaved, polite, and very patient.

I was in room 501. The room was OK but the natural light was not great. The room had two skylights and one normal window which was tucked away behind a wall. I couldn't get a picture on the TV, although the audio was working on the TV channels.
It would have been helpful to have some more shelving/cupboard space around the sink as there isn't anywhere to put a personal grooming items.
It was impossible to stand up in the shower due to the roof slope. This is actually quite annoying, especially in a 4 star hotel.
There was a great view of the sea from the stairwell. I can't help but think this is a bit of a waste of the best aspect of the building.
Breakfast was very good, especially the Eggs benedict.

The friendliness of the staff, from the front desk to the restaurant, was the most impressive aspect. However, the bathroom drainage was clogged; after running the water for about two minutes during the first use, it wouldn't drain. I had to wait and enter and exit the shower three times to let the water drain completely before I could finish my shower.

Bathrooms are insanely too small. No easily available ice machines. Crab restaurant served a nice (included) breakfast.

This is not a modern hotel, but in a way the older style architecture and room decoration felt appropriate to the seaside location (almost like you were stepping back in time a little).
My room was clean and quite spacious; I was glad I paid for a view of the pier and ferris-wheel; and also pleased that I paid for the inclusion of breakfasts.
The location was convenient to the beach, bus stops, some shopping and some restaurants.
Depending on your fitness and amount of luggage, walking from the train or bus station could be taxing.

Good location, friendly reception staff, decent towels, comfortable bed and good cooked element of breakfast. That's about it for the positives. Hotel is old fashioned, tatty furniture, awful mouldy bathroom with hideously stained toilet bowl, dirty and stained curtains, mouldy window frames, dirty windows and derelict balconies (one clearly a smoking zone). I have no idea where the four star, luxury rating comes from - it is not deserved.

Bathroom with shower was spotless. Inside wardrobe was safe for personal belongings oh and an iron.
Breakfast. Was help yourself to cereals juice tea coffee etc then you could have a hot breakfast I choice the vege option my partner full English both delicious. All in all a really pleasant stay. We were hoping to stay another night but unfortunately the hotel was fully booked up and I can see why.

The hotel is very well placed within Bournemouth with most of the amenities close by with the beach a near stone throw away. The staff were both attentive and professional.
It has a very dated feel and not the rustic type. The rooms could do with being modernised, if we have to guess externally it is probably listed.
The cost is only really justified by its location, which when compared to other hotels in the area doesnt really feel worth it in the end.

Restaurant “Crab” has supposedly great reputation. It was mediocre at best. Server (and apparently cook) didn’t know difference between two fish on “special of the day.” Ordered Sea Bass-got Bream!! Included breakfast buffet was ok but I suspect no staff member has ever walked through it. Cups and plates on tables but food on buffet other side of room - no plates or cups on buffet. When asked, waiter said “they’re on your table.” Lots of Verrrrrrry strong coffee but no cups. Water for tea barely hot. Lousy!!!!

The perfect place to stay, always a warm welcome perfect location and lovely rooms. Breakfast is always delicious and we had dinner via room service which was exceptionally good!
A special thank you to Preeti the front of house desk. Just the nicest and most helpful person and really made our stay perfect!
