Our stay at Baker Creek Hotel was absolutely magical! Nestled in a stunning, secluded forest area, this place feels like a serene retreat away from the world. We stayed in an incredibly romantic wooden cabin facing the forest, and it exceeded all our expectations.
The cabin's interior design was both thoughtful and unique, blending rustic charm with modern comfort. It was clear that every detail had been carefully considered.
The service was friendly and welcoming. The lady at the front desk was wonderful—her warm demeanor made us feel right at home.
Our stay was perfect in every way, and we left feeling refreshed and reconnected. We can't recommend Baker Creek enough for anyone looking for a romantic, peaceful getaway. We'll definitely be back!

We had such a good wintery getaway to this beautiful resort in the woods. The staff was great and our room was super cosy. We loved sitting by the outdoor fire, riding the fat bikes and using the sauna and steam room.

This was our worst stay ever after coming up as a family tradition for last 5 yrs. Furnace was an issue before we were even unpacked. Maintenance manager very condescending and rude over fire place but if someone is paying over 500 a night you expect things to work. Housekeeping never took garbage out tidyied up when they knew we were out. Wood would not be restocked on third night. We were on a family vacation celebrating cancer free and time together. Very disappointed in service this time. Housekeeping lost out on a tip and the basecamp lost our respect . People spend our hard earned money up there. Not the friendliest stay nor professional.

My second stay at Baker Creek this year, and I was allocated the same cabin as last time. Fabulous view of the forest, with the trees almost touching my balcony, and very peaceful. With my favourite Rocky Mountain Soap Company toiletries to use too. The cabin was warm and cosy, and the sound of the trains didn’t disturb me as much during my second stay! The reception/shop staff were friendly and helpful, and the caramel lattes were nice too.
Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

I stayed about a week with my 2 adult daughters. We all LOVED the location and the service. All of the employees were so friendly and engaging. The creekside fires, the location to the Bow River, and hiking around the camp itself was an added bonus. If you are into the log cabin atmosphere, this place is a must!

The property was beautiful and quiet with easy parking and getting to our room. We stayed in a suite, not a cabin. The room was clean and nice, bed was comfortable with a gas fireplace. There was a little patio with two chairs where my husband and I drank coffee in the mornings. The property is about 15 minutes from the village of Lake Louise which has gas, food, and two restaurants. There is specialty coffee, snacks, and drinks for purchase at the property but they do give you coffee for your room. The room was expensive in my opinion for the space, but everything in Banff and surrounding areas are very expensive. I did love how quiet it was because Banff the town is extremely busy and full of people. I recommend buying snacks and drinks when you’re in town to have in the room. Banff the town is about 40 minutes from the property, but everything is far apart. For our first visit to Banff it was great, but I will definitely look for cheaper options next time since we were gone most of the day each day.

Everything was great! I will say that the bathroom was frightfully small and I couldn’t imagine if a larger person could even get into it. They should think about taking out the closet beside it and expanding the size of it for functionality. We loved that you could buy marshmallows and roast them at outdoor fire pits!

We loved our stay at Baker Creek! Our cabin was warm and spacious and right near a beautiful creek with picturesque views. We had everything we needed to make an easy dinner in and the cabins were super roomy. The beds were very comfortable and the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Very isolated — no cell phone service, no landlines, no TV. Unusable WiFi — connection would drop after a few minutes. Enjoyed wood burning fireplace — there was unlimited firewood. Great atmosphere for rustic and quiet. Nice outdoor seating with fire pits by the river. It was 2 - 3 times as expensive as the three other stops on one week road trip from Vancouver and I was disappointed expecting a better experience.

We had a mouse who shared our room with us all four nights. And we were not forewarned about the trains. But it was a lovely property and we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance.

It is such a lovely place. We arrived at about 7pm due to airport delay, the front desk helps a lot as telling us where to go nearby. We saw sunset at the Maruno curve and fairmount hotel. The creek is nice in the morning. I will choose here next time.
