Keep looking! It’s so loud from the nightclubs around blasting music, you’d think you were in a nightclub. The design was so poor and that the shower would breed mold and smell like mold daily despite chlorine cleanings. The design allowed for no ventilation in the shower, breeding a lot of mold. Additionally, you would have to be in complete darkness in the bathroom on the Sabbath, because there is a big window, showing the interior of the bathroom to the bedroom. So if left the light on, that means light would be on in your bedroom all night, which is a strange design for Israel, knowing that a lot of people do not use turn on or off lights on the Sabbath. It’s very frustrating that if you want to order food to the room or need anything and you dial the operator, you don’t get anybody onsite and they tell you that room service will call you back. Many times I had a call upwards of five times over a span of maybe 40 minutes in order for room service to even call me in order to order food. the manager was very nice and trying extra hard to be helpful but the entire system is flawed. The food tasted delicious except for in the lobby bar. I ordered the ravioli dish, and it was soaked with may be the equivalent of 10 tablespoons of butter, was just too much fat for my stomach to handle, and was up all night nauseous. I do not recommend anybody stay here. In addition to the mentioned problems, while the spa and the rest of the hotel looks very nice, the old masseuse was awful.

Beautiful hotel with a great breakfast! It was a bit overcrowded when we stayed, a 15 minute wait in line for breakfast. We were also unpleasently surprised to learn there’s an 18 ILS charge for room service (aside from the actual price of dishes). If you’re staying here, I highly recommend having dinner at HaSadna which is a 10 minutes walk from the hotel.

While the lights in the room are a little funky, and we just don’t get windows from the bathroom into the bedroom, everything else about the hotel is awesome!

The Orient is conveniently situated in the Week Rifaim area of Jerusalem. It's a 20 minute walk to the old city. Property looks good rooms are nicely set up, cleaning service good. My only negative is that they don't have enough front desk help.
