What a Gem!! Beautiful renovated. Rooms and bathroom spotless and beds very comfortable. Felix met us on arrival. Him and his brothers, are utmost friendly and helpful, giving us tips and organized taxis to the beach and Topes de Coliantes. Duviel, who also features in Lonely Planet (quite a co-incident that we only found out once we were there) is also an excellent guide for the history and buildings of Trinidad. Lovely Breakfast was served every morning. We can only say : Go stay there and enjoy and appreciate their hospitality!! Thank you again for making our stay very special!!

We loved this casa which is in a great locarion. Simple but tastfully decorated with a shared patio at the back. Felix who looked after us was super helpful with recommendations etc - Felix and his brothers and mum who run the casa really work hard to make your stay perfect. The breakfasts were great, we particularly loved the little hotcakes. The casa also has a generator to power some lights and plugs during a blackout so you can still see and charge phones etc (important when you can consider there 3 blackouts of different lengths whilst we were there).
We also did the guided city tour with Felix's brother - would highly recommend doing this even if Trinidad is quite small. His brother shared so much interesting info and took us into places we would have missed otherwise.
We would definitely stay here again if back in Trinidad

This stay was incredible! Felix and his family are so friendly and accomodating. Camila, the owner, was also super helpful and communicative prior to our trip. The hotel is absolutely stunning. And interior deigner/decorator's dream. It's beautifully decorated in keeping with the Cuban heritage. The room was very clean and quiet
Breakfast was also great! We could not fault this place one bit. Highly recommended when staying in Trinidad!!

Our experience at Casa Barmarin was absolutely wonderful. The 3 brothers and their mother were very accommodating and attentive. We had an informative and enjoyable tour of the sugar plantations in the area with one of the brothers. If we had had more time the brothers would have arranged a tour of the city. If you are visiting Trinidad Cuba we highly recommend staying at Casa Barmarin!

I can't say enough about how lovely the Casa Barmarin is. Because of its comfort and hospitality, we had a fantastic visit and will definitely return to Trinidad. The owner, Camila, was very communicative and accommodating. She helped us arrange guitar lessons for our son (we highly recommend the instructor, Juan Julio Urias!). The three brothers managing the property were WONDERFUL. We looked forward to lounging around in the afternoons in hopes that Felix might pull up a chair and make conversation with us (he often did). Duviel is a Cuban historian and tour guide. I learned (or tried to) a semester's worth of Cuban culture and history in an afternoon tour with him. He also took us on a gorgeous hike to one of the waterfalls in Gran Parque Natural Topes de Collantes. On our next visit, I hope that he will be available to take us to the Valle de los Ingenios. Aramis, the third brother, is so sweet and helpful. He was especially observant and would follow up with advice and ideas based on the kids and my interests. In addition to these brothers going above and beyond to make out stay comfortable, the accommodations were excellent -- super clean and very comfortable beds -- and the breakfasts were fantastic, especially the deluxe fruit plates. 1,000 thank yous for making our first trip to Trinidad and Cuba so special. We can't wait to return.

We had a such a great stay with Felix. It exceeded expectation of any casa. Felix was a great host and we were made to feel very welcome. He shared local knowledge that you wouldn’t know unless you stayed there. The property is in a very central location, has a nice design and is clean.

The ladies at casa are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is very good. The location is at the center of downtown and easy to gosee the small town. The room is clean and comfort. The water for shower is too small.

Good Casa, great location, beautiful courtyard. Very accommodating hosts.
One issue which is not uncommon in Cuba was we ask for a car to Havana with air con and safety belts. We were happy to pay for this and made it very clear what we wanted however the car they organise had neither of these. Please do not intentionally mislead the tourist it is not good for business.
