The Riad is located at the edge of the Medina which makes it very easy to reach if you are arriving via a taxi. There is a parking area where you can be dropped off and the Riad is only around 150meters from the entrance. Do beware of “helpful” locals who will try to scam you out of your money by leading you through the streets. Use Google maps instead.
The staff were very helpful and we enjoyed the mint tea and biscuits while they explained places to go and where to eat. The JardinTerasse is a five minute walk away and very popular with Western tourists.
We made the mistake of booking dinner at the Riad before we discovered the cost. The meal was good but three times the price of The Jardin Terasse and much more expensive than places further into the Medina.
Breakfast however was very good with lots of choices.
My biggest complaint was the Riad’s policy of charging 5€ for extra bottles of drinking water. At 130€ or more a night per room this is an exorbitant rip off. A similar bottle at a shop nearby cost 6dirham or 60 cents. This was the only Riad that we stayed at that did not provide free water each day.
Wifi was reliable down near the office but would drop out inside of our room. Hangers were provided but the cupboard space had no rods to hang them!

The riad is on the edge of the madina so great location to explore the souks and the new city. Don't let the entrance to the madina put you off, its authentic. The riad is safe and the
staff are fabulous. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is huge. We stayed in the Jasmine suite which also had a mini fridge and the ac was excellent. You can log on to your Netflix or Prime account on the tv. Lovely linens and toiletries too. There are plenty of sunbeds on the roof along with seating areas in the shade. If you want to find bars/pubs you have about a 20 minute walk. O'mulligans for sports, and Le Zar are very good also Le Perroquet, all next to each other. The latter is a very nice wine bar/ restaurant, and good food at Le Zar. There are closer restaurants in the madina itself but many are not licensed. Someone recommend pre booking airport transfers with the riad and if you arrive in the dark, I strongly recommend it too.

Starting with the positive, the place is a small and intimate, good size Riad. Ok location, it is a little walk from the main enter way to the medina (Bab Doukkala) that we were advised to use, which was ok during daytime, but at nighttime we did experience some catcalling getting back from where the taxi had to stop, despite dressing respectfully and trying to be discreet. The Riad itself is beautiful. We stayed in the Yasmina suite which was spacious and beautifully decorated, with lots of natural light coming in from the large windows overlooking the courtyard. Many nice zones to relax in. The rooftop was not much in use and seemed a little neglected during this season, but still beautiful.
Then the negative side. I see a lot of reviews about great service, so I think we might have been unlucky, but the place seemed severely understaffed while we were there. No one to meet us at the gate to the medina to help with luggage as I understand is commun practice, because the person at the reception was always alone. During breakfast we had to wait really long to both order and get the food. One day we needed towels, and went to ask for some, and we could not find any staff at the property at all. When we got a hold of them in general, they were really helpful and attentive, but they seemed a bit overworked as they had to fill several roles at the time.

The Riad is a beautiful and quite place, managed by an open and helpful staff. I should recommend the Riad to invest in a sign or string of signs leading guests from the city gate to the front door of the Riad. such a sign would help guests and protect them from being tricked by the boys in the dark and narrow streets

We were really looked after by the team at Dar Dailkoum. The customer care was superb and nothing too much trouble. The hotel is hidden away in the north of the Medina. I recommend that you use the hotel booked transfer and then a member of the team will collect you from the taxi drop off point and take you to the Riad. This is by far the easiest option as the Medina is somewhat of a maze. Once inside the Riad is an oasis. Cool and calm and tastefully decorated. Our room Jasmina was large with plenty of windows onto the courtyard below. We found the bed pretty firm. If you are looking for great customer care you cannot go wrong with this choice.

Nice stay at this riad in the heart of the medina. The room is nicely decorated and the bathroom has a rustic charm.
Only thing missing in the room is a mini-fridge.

We had an amazing stay for 2 nights and we ended up canceling another reservation and coming back.
The staff was super friendly and helpful, they received us with tea.
The Riad is less than 10 minutes from the Bab Doukkala gate, which is a convenient place to get a cab to move to other parts of the city, but frankly since it’s inside of the Medina, might as well spend all your time exploring it.
Tasty breakfast with plenty of options.
Clean rooms with hot water and heater as well.
The rooftop has plenty of places to eat or just lay and relax. There is a small pool on the ground floor, but we didn’t want to miss out on exploring so we didn’t used it.
Hope to return soon.

The hotel was a perfect place to explore the city of Marrakech. Although it is in the heart of Medina, it is extremely quiet, but once outside, you are immediately in touch with authentic Marrakech culture. The staff were all extremely helpful and gave us detailed directions to restaurants and tourist attractions.
The building is old and the water leak around the tap was not fixed until the end of the stay, so we were unable to take a shower on the last morning. Also, it was still cold in the mornings at the end of February, but breakfast had to be taken on the rooftop or in the courtyard, which was quite cold.

A beautiful Riad with lovely staff. We were so well looked after by the team throughout - greeted and bags carried upon arrival, all explained and help for anything we could need during our stay. The Riad itself is beautifully decorated and rooms are individually styled. We are breakfast on the roof terrace on our first day for my husbands birthday - it was something really quite special :) Finding the Riad is pretty easy - it’s 2 minutes walk from a key road and 1 minute from 2 main market streets but once you’re inside its very peaceful and quiet - you can barely hear the noise from outside at all!
Would recommend to anyone.

A big thank you to the lovely staff of the Riad, specially to Asmae , Yassin and Mohamed who make us felling so welcome 🤗😊 .The Riad himself is a stunning architectural building close to main city attractions ( we never need taxi 🚕, just walk ).
Easy to be pick up by the local guides if you have booked different activities that need a pick up car / touristic transport!

Hot water didn’t work in our room, when they came to fix it, it was rusty. Listing of room looks like a tub, it’s only a shower quite deceiving. By the time the water came clear the hot water was all gone. The riad smells of smoke and if you have any respiratory issues this is not the place to stay. Did not have these issues at other riads we stayed at. Path to get to Riad is very remote and dangerous nearly got mugged coming into Riad at night. Had trouble with the key no one answers the door. No 24 hour service. No help bringing our bags to the car. Paid over 400 euro for the romantic suite what a waste.

The Riad is beautiful. Tucked away behind an unassuming door in the windy streets of the Medina, this Riad has been well maintained with lots of places to sit and reflect. I particularly liked the simple roof terrace. Rooms are very spacious and in keeping with local design. A treat for anyone wanting to feel the local culture. Lots of things are walking distance, and there were some good spas nearby. However I struggled to find anywhere to buy bottled water - and whilst the Riad provided small bottles on request they subsequently charged EUR1 per bottle onto the bill at checkout.
Service was where this accommodation was let down. They did not recognise Expedia VIP benefits - even on request. I contacted the Riad 4 days in advance of my stay to arrange their free airport shuttle pickup on arrival. This was confirmed. I waited 90 minutes at the airport but no one came. I then spent EUR8 on a private taxi - which meant finding and exchanging money at the airport. When using local taxis the Riad was much harder to find as the taxi can only drop off 300m from the property so you have to navigate the narrow streets alone. The host didn’t acknowledge this issue - only that the Riad manager didn’t work today and I should ask tomorrow. The manager was very friendly and easy to talk to - but only around on one of the three days. The other host had poor English comprehension - making communication difficult.
Overall I wouldn’t stay again.

One of the greatest customer service I’ve ever experienced. Room and the rest of the Riad was beautiful, it feels like you’re in a spa all the time. This is a 5 star hotel in my book, I recommend this to anyone who is planning on going to Morocco.

We had a lovely stay at Riad dar Dalkoum 9 days after the earthquake. We had an issue reaching them by phone since hotels.com had the wrong phone number. They responded in a very timely manner by email. The staff was so accommodating and kind, especially Yasen who helped us by getting a cab and negotiating the rate, waiting with us until the driver arrived for an excursion and even communicated with the driver by phone to help with more specific directions. On the last day, he walked us through the market to help us find a specific spice and tea. He shared cultural information as well. The breakfast was lovely with fresh squeezed juice and omelettes. Lovely room and nice rooftop. Pool is not really for swimming but didn’t need. The hotel reception was also very helpful and kind providing tea after we arrived. We could not connect with the driver for airport shuttle but just took a cab for $8 USD. The Riad was tucked into the market so having a guide from the hotel would have been helpful. We were using GPS when someone “helped” us by walking us in circles and demanding a tip. Yasen helped shoo him away. Very happy with our stay!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Riad, I would definitely recommend this place, the food was really good and the staff was really friendly and helpful. Also the rooms were really nice. But one of the guys in charge of the door and assistance, was a little pushy about leaving a tip, which I really didn’t like because in the states that comes off as rude and poor service, it was not the younger one (yessim) it was the older guy
