Weekend getaway with my wife in one of our favourite cities. Absolutely loved the loft! Everything was perfect. Cool vibe, roomy, perfect location, spotless, and admittedly the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Have already booked my next stay.

Maison Kent is in an very old historic building just steps from Chateau Frontenac in the heart of Old Quebec and walking distance to a ton of restaurants, shoppes etc. in both Lower and Upper Quebec. Could not be a more ideal location. Rooms were comfortable and spacious, with excellent ambience & feel. Small cafe on main level for take away but not to sit. However, terrace outside the Frontenac Starbucks had good coffee and croissants, and great view of St Lawrence. High marks for this and new wing under construction.
However the check in process was awful. The hotel sent Check-In instructions the day before arrival but if you are not able to check email that process fails, and NO ONE at the check in desk til 3 (or 4?) PM, and no one answers the phone number given in the sign at the door, and there is NO PLACE TO LEAVE LUGGAGE IF YOU ARRIVE early. we sat nearly 2 hours in the stairwell and finally had to call HOTELS.COM to have them call the hotel and let us in. Hotels.com staff were very apologetic but still to wait for Kent staff to arrive. we had already paid the room so could not decamp elsewhere.
Also, style over function. The shower was beautiful but its pan was treacherous when wet - slipped & nearly fell, and NO grab-bar on the walls. Needs more attention to minor details like that which could easily ruin a vacation.

Only thing wrong with this place is the bath door that does not fit well and hits something everytime you try to open after being closed if you can get it to stay closed

Property said they had laundry but when arrived it directed us to a laundromat 500 m away. Thank goodness we asked because there was one onsite. We tried to have a package delivered and they told us where to send it but no one answered the door for fedex or us when we stopped by to get it. The tv went out but since there is no reception, we had a hard time getting it fixed. No instructions on how to get more coffee pods. The location was great.

Great stay! Perfect location and beautiful room. The only thing we would recommend would be a memory foam mattress topper for the sofa bed but otherwise great.

Loved the property, cleanliness. Wish communication was better in terms of when we would receive instructions on access to the building. Also instructions on how to use the air conditioner would have helped but besides that..... Really great experience. Will be back.

This is a LOFT property located in a great vicinity with shopping, dining, and, bus trips within walking distance. I gave it a 3 rating because we did not know there is no service during the stay. It does come with a hot plate and dishes if you want to cook yourself. No new towels or coffee pods delivered unless you ask for them. We were located in the basement with rock walls. There were lots of rock and mortar on the counter behind the coffee maker and the floor. We needed to wipe our feet off before getting in bed. Our stay was great and it all worked out. We just weren’t prepared.

Overall, our stay was nice. If you want to be in the heart of old/upper Quebec City, the location of La Maison Kent – Par les Lofts is excellent. Unfortunately, from the moment we booked, we encountered communication issues. Surprisingly, considering we were visiting a tourist spot, the first confirmation email received was written entirely in French. As a Spanish speaker (& some Italian), sure I understand bits and pieces, but technically, I do not speak French. Luckily, we live in a day and age where we have translators on our phones. In a second email we were notified that since it was a last minute booking, we had to go to the main office to process payment & complete the transaction. After traveling since 3:30 am, this was a major inconvenience, plus we had to spend extra money to cab over to the main office vs going straight to our reserved loft. Finally, contrary to most of my research about the locals having the ability or willingness to meet non-French speakers half way in regards to language barriers, we were met with much resistance from some of the La Maison Kent staff (& other locals in the tourist areas), which seemed quite counterintuitive. If you work in a tourist spot, you have to expect encounters with people from all over the world who do not speak the local language. Anyway, going full circle, would I stay there again? Yes, the location was stupendous.

The location was fantastic! The room was spacious and well appointed. The only downside was that the room was not very soundproof; the neighboring room and room above us were very loud, we could hear footsteps and voices in the evenings.

Perfect location immediately next to Chateau Frontenac and in the best spot in Old Quebec. One of the only underground parking lots is right across tho street which has EV charging (slow, but it works). The small shop on the first floor has amazing ice cream which we had each night before turning in. The hotel was great.

Premium location within Old Quebec, easy walking distance to everything! Parking for a rental car is usually quite convenient but it was expensive and a challenge this particular trip due to the FEQ Festival schedule. All in all, though it was a great second stay for us!

The location of this property was fantastic!!! We loved how we could walk everywhere in Vieux Québec! The lock box check in process was easy by using the directions sent via email. Calling the phone number for help was simple and the operators were always very helpful! The room was spacious and accommodated our family of 4 wonderfully. Great linens and bathroom products! We would stay here again and would recommend to family and friends for their visit.
