Outdoors and swimming pool
Podere Caiano boasts a large (20,00 sq. m.) garden divided in three parts: two parts around the “Stella” and “La Rustica” apartments, both enclosed and featuring a stonework barbecue, and one part in the centre of the hamlet, with cotto vases, flowers, bushes, and trees, also completely enclosed. Here guests will find the in-ground, salt-purified swimming pool in a calm location, with a semi-oval shape (6.5 x 10 metres, 1.4 m deep). The bathing area around the pool has 14 sunbeds, 6 beach umbrellas, a gazebo with an outdoor living room, an outdoor shower and a ping pong table. Guests will also find: a covered veranda perfect for outdoor meals that have been carefully prepared by the property’s owner, an outdoor living room, and a stonework barbecue which can be used upon request (preferably together with the owner), all with separate access from the apartments and all in front of the restaurant hall. The entire outdoor area is well-kept. Several gates, some of which are accessible only on foot, lead to the indoor part of the property and the private car park. Next to Podere Caiano, the owner grows olives (for oil), wine, fruit and seasonal vegetables.Interior
The property dates back to the 1700s and is divided in 4 Tuscan-style apartments for a total of 250 sq. m., all completely refurbished. The first gate leads to the reception, a dining room large enough for the whole group, next to an industrial kitchen used only by the owner who, upon request and solely for the guests of Podere Caiano, can prepare breakfasts, lunches and dinners with homegrown products and family recipes. These meals feature organic oils and wines made by the owner and the Beni family liquor, a traditional drink made since 1860. There is also a small guest bathroom and a washing room (with washing machine, iron and ironing board, sink). Via an outdoor stone staircase you can reach the higher section of the garden and the “Stella” apartment (54 sq. m.) with a completely fenced, private garden, children’s games, a stonework barbecue and covered parking. Access to the apartment via a covered veranda (sides are also covered) with table and chairs. Two steps lead to the living room with a table, TV, cooking area equipped with an electric oven, 4 cooking stoves, extractor hood, fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster, moka coffee maker, juicer, electric kettle, and three more steps lead up to a double bedroom with an added single bed and a mosquito screen on the window, plus a bathroom with shower (no bidet). A small iron fence leads to the large garden with swimming pool (also accessible from the main footpath entrance) and to the large apartment, “La Rustica” (107 sq. m.), which also has a private fenced garden, a stonework barbecue, a gazebo with table and chairs for outdoor dinners and an extra gate which leads to the apartment, on two floors. The ground has a spacious living room with large wooden table for the whole group, a fireplace, TV, a large kitchen with a stone sink and ornamental fireplace (complete with an electric oven, 4 cooking stoves, extractor hood, fridge with freezer, microwave, toaster, moka coffee maker, juicer, electric kettle), a bathroom with shower (no bidet). A steep, wooden staircase leads to the first floor with a double bedroom, an attic bedroom with a skylight and French bed (ideal for children), a bedroom with bunk bed (ideal for children), one bathroom with shower. All the bedrooms have mosquito screens. On the right side of the property there is a small square, accessible via a stone and brick arch, with a beautiful panoramic terrace, a small church, a old small inhabited colonial house which is connected to the other two apartments of our Podere.
