The sprawling, spacious, breathtaking Broughton Hall has 17 large bedrooms, each unique in their own way, sleeping up to 32 guests. It has 13 bathrooms with en-suites too, so this property has the character, the scale and the surroundings to provide you with a mind blowing experience.
Broughton Sanctuary
One of the UK’s finest wellness centres and activity based holiday destinations, Broughton Hall is located in Skipton, North Yorkshire and has featured widely as one of the best places to stay for relaxation, wellness and activities.
It features 22 stunning individual properties as well as the historic and beautiful Broughton Hall itself, which dates back to 1097, having been in the same family for 900 years.
Surrounded by amazing scenery and countryside, this resort offers a huge range of activities and wellness initiatives. Boasting the Avalon Centre, a dedicated state-of-the-art wellbeing retreat centre, they offer a number of classes, groups and sessions that can be booked separately.

Internationally acclaimed, the Broughton Estate was recently included in National Geographic’s Cool List 2024 due to its commitment to wellness, spirituality, connection with nature and sustainability.
This wellness retreat is like no other, with the ability to make the most of the Avalon Centre, a state of the art wellbeing area that offers a range of treatments, group sessions and activities.
The wider Broughton Estate offers outdoor dining, a wildlife reserve, acres of private woodland and, of course, access to the world famous Yorkshire Dales as well as a great local pub, The Bull, which offers great food and drinks if you’re tired after a long walk.
The house itself offers the grandeur of 17 large and unique bedrooms with 13 bathrooms sleeping up to 32 guests.
The ground floor offers grand reception rooms and an exceptional kitchen that has all the modern features and extras you’d expect from a stay of this quality, although you can also choose a fully catered stay at Broughton Hall.
The downstairs rooms include the red drawing room, the green drawing room, a library, a saloon, and a formal dining room, all featuring open fires for a cosy ambiance with traditional and impressive decor.
There’s also a conservatory for breakfast with a view and garden access, a billiards room with a full-size table, and a gallery. Two guest cloakrooms are also available.
Log fires illuminate the splendour of the impressive bedrooms. The red drawing room has a piano for your enjoyment, and both main drawing rooms can be combined to create a large entertainment space. The grand dining room offers a fabulous atmosphere for a candlelit celebration meal. The billiards room not only features a professional-quality table but also has an intricately detailed ceiling and a plush velvet sofa for comfortable viewing.
