It was a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. The owner personally serves her customers and makes them feel at home. My room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was family style; my scrambled eggs were delicious. However the breakfast cost was extra. Also, I didn't have a bathroom in my room, but using the shared bathroom wasn't a problem at all. The area around the hotel is all residential, but you can easily walk to restaurants, transportation, or enjoy the nature near the Boston Reservoir. This place will be my choice #1 when I travel to Boston again.

POORLY REPRESENTED ON EXPEDIA. Nowhere on the website does it mention that this is a room in someone’s personal house. It appears on Expedia that this is a B&B, which are usually wonderful and we stay at a lot, but this did not feel like a B&B. It felt like we were an awkward friend asking to sleep over. My biggest complaint is that it does not say ANYWHERE that there is a shared bathroom. In fact, from the way it is displayed on the website, it suggests that there is a private bath in each room. As someone who navigates this website frequently, I know what items to look for when booking and read top reviews, which is why I feel so betrayed by the website. Not only is it a shared bathroom, but it is the owners personal bathroom, littered with their personal items. Neither my husband nor I felt comfortable using the bathroom to get ready let alone shower, which was an important step to our morning today. On top of that, the Cape Cod room we chose shared a very thin wall with the bathroom, so our heads when we laid down were practically against the toilet on the other side, and any time anyone else used the bathroom we were awakened.
This place was awkward, confusing, and a big waste of money for what we needed. Had it been properly presented on the website as a room in a home with a shared bathroom, we would not have chosen it for this stay.

Our room was comfortable and quiet. Natalie, the host, was super friendly and interesting to talk to. She provided a hot home made breakfast with lots of additional options to meet various people's tastes. We definitely would love to return!

Natalie was lovely and offered to make us eggs in the morning. We only stayed one night so it was a quick trip but less expensive than a hotel.

Great area, walking distance to restaurants and Whole Foods. Rooms nicely decorated and had a mini-fridge. Bathroom had everything you could possibly need including Charmin Toilet Paper. Natalie was a delight-super friendly and helpful.

Amazing and charming place! Highly recommended

Friendly and helpful. Very homely.
Big selection of ‘condiments’ on breakfast table. Free waters. Lounge area and maybe free toiletries? Wasn’t sure as they looked more like the owners.
Only thing to be aware of is there are steps/stairs! Quite a few of them. Also bathroom is shared but didn’t cause an issue at anytime unlike other places have.

The room was nice. We didn't stay for breakfast although it was offered. The parking is pretty dicey around the property and I wish that it had more of an outside marking.

Natalie is very welcoming and accommodating towards dietary needs, she give dairy free options and plenty of options for a nutritious breakfast. This was very surprising and stood out to me the most.

Good but shared bathroom was no listed.

This is a house in the middle of a neighborhood. It is quiet and safe. Plenty of street parking. There are several rooms on the main floor all sharing a common bathroom. It was clean, they were friendly, and provided a nice sit down breakfast. The decor is slightly dated. The bed was comfortable. It is walking distance to at least 6 different types of cuisine. We were dropping off our daughter at BC which is 10 minutes away. I would stay here again.
