A warm welcome from motelliers have pride in their accommodation and this is reflected in the tidy and cleanliness of the very comfortable rooms.
A historic police station with great character; the rooms are tastefully decorated in a modern manner but consistent with the building.

Neat and quiet. Great location. Beautiful shower (hot, with high pressure).

The Station house motel was right in the township almost across the road from the Farewell Spit tour office.
It was virtually a bed sitter with facilities but was quite adequate for the the two night we stayed there.
4.0
Comfortable, friendly & cosy with everything provided for a self catering couple.

Handy, comfortable accommodation with self contained amenities. Good base to explore local attractions and very close to main street for dining options and supplies.

It’s an awesome location. Perfect for my course and really close to the beach and shops/cafes.
Highly recommended and hope to stay there again next year.

Booked last minute and arrived about 7pm. Room had a double and single bed, very clean, en suite shower and toilet, tea and coffee making, microwave, fridge and plates etc. Breakfast wasn’t offered- it is readily for sale across the road- but there is a leaflet in the room asking pre-order continental the day before ($12).
Bed was a bit firm but otherwise ok.
Welcome was cursory, hence the lower service mark.
About 200 yds from beach and cafes etc.
Nice but very short stay. Would stay again but hope for better welcome.

The Station House Motel was the perfect place for my wife, my 10-year-old son, and I to stay. It is right in the town centre and just a few steps away from the beach were we saw banded dotterels, oyster catchers, gannets, and terns. The room we stayed at was very well appointed with all the amenities as advertised and Sylvie was terrific at providing the best possible service at the same time of not interfering with our privacy. We would definitively stay there again!

This little motel is more like a BnB and perfect for what it is: a comfortable, converted former rural police station located in a very tiny village on the edge of a beautiful estuary and stretch of coastline. If you come in expected a quiet, spacious place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty, then you will be very happy. The kitchenette rooms sleep four very comfortably and the furnishings and kitchenette are certainly not "luxe" but perfectly acceptable. I've been to 157 countries. If I'm going to Hong Kong, I like to stay at the Peninsula; If I'm going to Collingwood, NZ I would prefer to stay here so I can be close to fishing in the estuary, walks on the beautiful beach or treks in the bush. It's a good value for the money, and the host is very friendly and helpful. There is a great cafe across the road open for breakfast and lunch only. The food at this cafe is top notch, especially given the location. Don't forget to walk about 15 minutes upriver in the estuary to see the "tame" eels and other critters.

The room was what amounted to a suite in an OLD house.
Business run by a nice guy and his very young daughters.

This a great historic place to stay and a great base for exploring Golden Bay. The Owners are very helpful and friendly. Will definitely stay there again.

It was fantastic apart from the weather during one of the days we were there. Everything was perfect, food, cafe's were all nearby. Plenty of walking tracks which we are yet to explore. Certainly will return!
