From the sunrise Mountain View to the magical starlit sky at night, this beautiful hotel was everything we could have dreamed of for the perfect night in Ollantaytambo 💜 definitely our first choice in the sacred valley if we were to visit again!

The view was amazing and the owner was very friendly

It was close enough to town but just on the outskirts to be able to walk up the valley and explore the less crowded trails and the river
could be a little noisy with all the vehicles and chickens. simple earplugs could have solved this for me

The property is located 7-8 minutes walking from the main square. It offers a very low price point and good value for money. Fastest wifi we have experienced in Peru
The room was not very clean and breakfast was poor

Really kind accommodating family-run business. Very satisfying breakfast. I haven't been able to sleep for the past few days, but I finally got to rest here. It was very comfortable.

The owner made us feel very welcome and it was a great place to stay as a family on our way to Machu Picchu. The room was comfy and spacious and breakfast was very good. Our children enjoyed the garden and playing with the very friendly puppies and cats!
Payment was cash only but it wasn’t a problem once we knew.

The location
The reception and staff were not present or available by phone when we arrived. It looked like they were not expecting us. Also, the accomodation was not really like the pictures.

The rudest family in the history of guesthouses
if I could give this place a 0/10 I would. The family that runs this place is the WORST. The most rude, creepy, intrusive, irritating, clueless host family I’ve ever met in over 50 countries of travel. Owner walked in to our room TWICE without knocking, seeing me completely naked. The first time trying to tell us to switch rooms to a different room then the one we booked and already paid for. the second time walked in the room 20 minutes before checkout time to tell us to check out. the owner stuck his finger inside my mothers tea when she said it wasn’t hot, to prove to her that it was. the daughters that work there are the rudest nastiest humans I’ve ever met. literally screaming(!!!) at us for the 30 soles for parking that they never even told us about. everyday we were harassed by this family. They ruined our stay completely and I’ve ever seen anything like it in all my life. I’ve never been more disgusted at any stay in my life. I hated it here and if after reading this you decide to stay here.. well that’s on you

Worst guesthouse out of over 300-400 I’ve stayed in, in my life. please read below for the full experience.

The breakfast was poor, the hot water in the shower lasted less than five minutes. It advertises that it accepts visa but you can’t pay with card. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived.

Absolutely beautiful views from the huge private rooms. you’re looking right at the Ollantaytambo Incan ruins. Beds were incredibly cozy. Right in town and an easy walk to anything.
The only reason this property didn’t get a 10 was there seemed to be some staff confusion. There was never anyone around to help us. we waited an hour to check in because no one was at the front desk. we were supposed to get breakfast and after waiting until 9 AM we just abandoned and went to a cafe.
Great place they just needed a more permanent front desk or a way to reach them when you needed too.
5.0
- nice staff
- bathroom was dirty: hair on the floor and dirty towels
- dry bread for breakfast
- interior seemed outdated (e.g. broken mirror)

Hot water, price, location
Maybe due to covid it seemed like they were not mentally or operationally ready for guests. Pictures look a lot nicer than reality.

Its a simple but nice hotel owned by very kind family. They helped us to organized our trip from Ollantaytambo to Cusco with three stops at Morey, Maras salt pools and Chichiro for a very reasonable price (we tried to book Uber first but there was no car available).
The shower water could be hotter

The breakfast in general is good. They were nice and made us a packed breakfast when we had to take the train at 4:35 to Aquas Calientes. The beds are comfy and its clean.
After our long day going to Machu Picchu there was no warm water, we asked the girl at the reception for help - after 2 failed attempts she called a technician. Ca. an hour later we had warm water again, but a dirty floor she left for us to clean up after coming into the bathroom with her muddy shoes. The staff in general seems rather unprofessional, more like family members helping out but who don't really know how things work (e.g. checking if we had booked breakfast via booking.com). There was no cleaning up the rooms during the day like making the bed or refilling toilet paper as stated on the site. The place is generally a bit rundown. It's close enough from Plaza de Armas but a bit far for those who want to take the train to Machu Picchu in the morning (20 minute walk).
