The receptionist is very helpful and accommodating. Thats the only good thing of the hotel
Noise outside construction. And came here on a summer so its very hot inside. No fan in the room. I think its okay during cold season and if theres no ongoing construction.

The room was clean, breakfast okay, the hotel is close to the railway station
We were charged for one breakfast out of the two, despite booking a Bed & Breakfast rate for 2. We showed our booking confirmation to the receptionists but they still decided to charge us claiming "it didn't show on their summary". That's what I call (very) bad customer service!

made me a coffee at 10pm. Member of staff carried my bag to the station for me which was very kind.
Rom far to small.

We stayed at the Hotel Atlantic for one night after a trip through Normandy and Brittany and wanted a reasonably priced hotel a short walk from the train station. It was a very good find, and is also a quick walk to the metro station to easily access all the main sights of Rennes.

Location was good, 150 m to railway station, bus and metro. Lots of bars and cafes in walking distance. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Breakfast was basic french.
We only stayed 2 nights. We would have enjoyed ourselves even longer :)

The location is really close to the train station, and the city center is reachable by walk. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The room is clean, with a comfy bed.

The location was perfect as it is very close to both the bus and train stations and also walking distance to the centre area.
The sound insulation was very bad. I was staying at 2nd floor and I could hear the room above. Every time the occupants above walk in the room, I will know. I could also hear next door when he/she talk or hang their clothes or sliding the door of the toilet. When people walk past my door, I would think that the person is trying to enter my room. Luckily my room was not beside the elevator. But mine was next to the stairs. It was rather bad as the noise has woke me up a couple of time.
Also, the water take quite long to heat up and the shower head cannot be taken down.

very clean hotel close to the station, great friendly staff
doors are old fashioned key in lock and you could hear neighbors at time, but part of the charm.

distance to train station and friendly staffs
room very small, we should book separate beds instead of double bed. window also too small and a bit hot

Lovely staff and breakfast. Good value for money and convenient for the railway station. Clean room, good shower.
A lot of road noise on 2nd floor at front at night. Take ear plugs. The room was so hot we needed the window open. Bed was a standard double about 135cm/4ft6inches (not sure if there's any other choice), but my husband is very tall and this made for an uncomfortable night's sleep along with the heat. It would be helpful if the bed width could be specified on the hotel listing as we'd have paid for a 5ft/150cm wide bed if available. Comfortable apart from bed size.

Proximity to station...2 minutes walk away. Very quiet at night, clean, and a good price. Overall, it was a good deal as we needed to take an early train. It was walkable to the center and the rail station area felt safe at night. Friendly staff.
The room was really small with a tiny window. The size didn't match the photo.
