The property is well equipped and presented. The complex is excellent with 2 good pools and a bakery which also does light meals, and a decent supermarket. It is easy to get around Cascais with uber. Maria's hosting made the visit as she communicated with us really well, giving us lots of useful information, especially restaurant recommendations! We visited a few of her suggestions and they were all excellent. Overall we had a brilliant holiday and would love to return.

We very much enjoyed our stay. The location is great -- close to a large pool pool and small cluster of shops -- bakery, hairdresser and mini-market. Also walking distance to tennis, horse riding, a soccer camps. Maria, the host, is very helpful and nice.

Very nice terrace house which met all our needs during a great stay near Cascais

LOVED Maria’s place in Vila Bicuda. Wonderful house, fantastic back patio, kids swam every day, 3 minute walk to the market and bakery, easy to get anywhere in Cascais in minutes, and Maria was a perfect host. Wonderful!

This property is on a super site, that’s beautifully maintained. It has an excellent bakery/cafe, mini market and restaurant/takeaway. The swimming pool is superb and the grounds well maintained. The property is away from the centre of Cascais but on a good regular bus route, with tickets 2 euros for the day!

Photos don't really do property or facilities justice. Great bakery, two large quiet pools within 25 mins of Lisbon and Sintra and 5 mins from Cascais. Airy roomy air conditioned property. Well equipt and clean

We had lovely 5 days at Maria's house. It is the ideal spot for families with kids. We stayed there with 2 adults and 3 kids.

There are some positive aspects of this accommodation but some negatives also.
Maria was a good hostess and the property is located on a very pleasant and well landscaped development with very good amenities including two swimming pools with plenty of loungers.
The apartment, however was neither detached nor semi detached as described on the website, as it has adjoining properties both side. We felt it was dated, and you didn't have to look very far to see it was not particularly clean, eg dust on the handrails and around all the door frames. Some of the decor is in need of renewal with a crack on the bath rim and numerous cracked tiles. One of the electrical sockets in a bedroom was clearly unusable with Sellotape stuck across the front of it. We were also not impressed by a grubby bowl of damp sugar which greeted us on the kitchen worktop.
We enjoyed our stay but in view of the relatively high cost, we expected much higher standards and in our opinion it is not good value.

Stayed here for 7 nights. This place is awesome. Everything you need to feel like you’re at home. Maria was very welcoming and great hostess. The complex is very quiet, with a large pool, bakery and small grocery store.
Will definitely stay again. Great stay

We stayed with my husband and our 2 teenagers children in this place for one week at the end of July 2014.
The house is great and very well decorated and equiped, big bedrooms with large wardrobe, and living room accessing the terrace. Equipement in the kitchen is perfect : expresso machine, washing machine, ...the whole house is furnished and decorated in a way that you feel at home.
We saw the photos already and this was one of the reason we have chosen this house : it is really as expected, very nice.
The complex is also great and secured, we enjoyed the bakery ! The swimming pool large and sun beds were always available. Our children also enjoyed it, only little remark is that they were not allowed to play with a ball (a keeper forbid it although they were alone in the pool).
This house is well located, closed to Cascais a nice city and closed to Lisbon, which you can reach very easily by car from there.
The owner of the house is very friendly, she welcomed us warmly and remain at your disposal.
A great stay to recommend !

We spent a week at Vila Bicuda just before the start of the school year in France with Anna, 2 ½.
While it seemed to be raining everywhere, the weather in Cascais still had a mid-summer feel. And although the water temperature of the Atlantic is nothing for weaklings, the swimming pool of the condo (which also has a large area dedicated to small children where the water is very shallow) made the vacation just perfect.
Cascais itself is a nice small town (30,000 inhabitants) on the ocean and despite that the city is living mostly from tourism, it never felt too crowded.
We were also delighted by the house. It doesn’t feel like a rental at all and one can tell that the owners decorated the space according to their own tastes (which are truly lovable) without sparing on comfort nor amenities (the expresso machine is actually a real Nespresso). And upon request, we had a brand new baby bed for Anna.

I stayed a week in the house for the New Year with friends and it was simply great. Although the weather wasn’t good (it was raining quite a lot, never hard but still), the house is so comfortable that we also enjoyed being inside for most of the day sometimes. Yet, as soon as the sun came out, within a 5 minute drive we could relax outside at the beach (in Guincho, fantastic beach, even for non surfers, with a great restaurant / snack bar) or have an aperitif in a café overlooking the ocean (Casa da Guia). And Mar do Inferno, probably the best fish restaurant I have ever been to, is also just a 5 minute drive away.
Hence, I can only recommend a stay there, even in winter when it rains and the temperatures are “only” around 15 degrees Celsius.

My husband and I along with our2 little sons decided to go to Portugal as an alternative to Spain where we usually go on Holiday. And it certainly was the right choice. The beaches are much cleaner and less crowded and we could enjoy many of them since most are located within a 20 minute drive from Vila Bicuda.
The amenities offered were also great and it wasn’t a problem for either of us to entertain our Little One from 6:30am on as there is a children playground within the condo. And no need to go to the restaurant to enjoy good fish. We simply bought it fresh in the supermarket and put it on the grill as the locals do.
Lisbon is only 25 minutes away and is for sure a great city but hard to visit pushing a strawler up and down its 7 hills. Anyway, we enjoyed that too, along with Sintra and its ancient fort.
And my husband was particularly happy that, on top of all, there was a golf course just 5 minutes away by foot.
That made for a perfect holiday, thanks also in large parts to the house itself (the rooms are both big and very bright with plenty of space to store our clothes and stuff for 2 weeks, and the decoration made for a very comfortable stay), in a perfect location. We’ll be back.
