We couldn't fault our stay at new hall from the communication prior to arrival to the messaging after we got home. The manager was flexible and thoughtful. The house itself was fantastic as it accommodated lots of us but with enough space to feel relaxed - some of us drinking wine and gossipping in the kitchen while others played pool in the games room or read a book in front of the fire in the living room. It was wonderful!

We were a party of 12 adults and 1 toddler celebrating an 80th birthday.
The house is lovely and quirky. We loved the kitchen which was toasty and sociable.
The pool table was a bonus which came in handy.
Everywhere was spotless and a lovely welcome hamper was there for us on arrival. We didn't have the best weather on our first day but we did manage the lovely walk up to Chirk Castle on our second day.
Caz was so helpful and made our stay so enjoyable.
We were sad to leave such a fabulous place and would love to return.

Our stay at this property was fantastic. The very spacious bedrooms, living areas, beautiful surroundings, convenient location, well-equipped kitchen, and games room made for a memorable stay. The added touch of goodies, tea, bread, cake, etc. showed the hosts' thoughtfulness. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing beak.

Excellent family weekend with lots of space to be together or spread out for quiet times. Extremely well equipped house in beautiful extensive grounds.
Communication with Mark and Cas very quick and effective.

New Hall was perfect for our group of 5 families. There was plenty of room for us all to sleep and even with 17 of us in total it always felt like we had loads of room. Plenty for the children to do, both in the grounds and in the play room. The house was perfectly clean and was kitted out with everything we needed. Including a lovely welcome basket filled with essentials and lovely Welsh produce!
The grounds are beautiful and so peaceful. Chirk Castle is only a short walk away with lots to keep everyone entertained. Both the host and the housekeeper were quick to reply to any queries. We will definitely be coming back!

With a little more input the property could live up to the premium price. No tea/coffee, milk, anything at all to welcome. Cooking facilities not fit for 14, or big enough dinning table. Garden over grown and shabby in only sitting area. All showers bar one were cold. No bathroom products or hairdryers. Two tea towels and one dishcloth, more would have been appreciated.
Plus points, lovely and clean, fires were great, games room and double dishwashers a plus. We had an ok time but wasn’t great. Couldn’t cook with the Aga at all over weekend due to lack of temperature (even when set on 4 on arrival) Made cooking a challenge. Expensive for what we received.

Great house.
Needs some more basics in the kitchen such as wooden spoons and measuring jugs

We had such a lovely time staying here. The house was huge. Plenty of space for the kids and adults. Gorgeous cosy lounge with lots of seating. Big dining table and kitchen with lots of storage and brilliant chest freezer if you want to stock up. Really warm house considering it went down to minus 7 it was lovely and warm. Easy walk to Chirk castle which was nice. Lovely to see the ducks on the pond too. Would definitely recommend to any group or family stays.

A lovely old farmhouse, cosy and warm. Plenty of space for large groups and a variety of configurations for bedrooms

Overall the weekend was a success. The house is on three levels with good facilities. The house was not up to temperature when we arrived, there were many radiators both from central heating and electric. The problem was the location, the track upto the house is used by a farm and was very muddy with large potholes. Our three cars will need washing due to the mud, also we couldn't walk down the lane again because of the mud. I realise that it's winter, but I have lived in the countryside for 25 years and this lane is inadequate.

Huge, spacious house with everything we needed. Good communication with hosts and they allowed us both an earlier check in time and a later check out time which made all the difference to our stay
Thank you

Having been let down drastically by Holiday Cottages, a panic search led us to this AMAZING property! What a find! The photo's do not do it justice, it's huge and absolutely perfect for our Shooting Weekend. Loads of room for 14 people with all their shooting gear and guns, amazing kitchen with all the equipment you'll ever need, dining room (the centre of the whole weekend) with it's open fire (not used - way too mild) is perfect, the lounge is stunning and games room perfect for healthy competition. 7 bedrooms and associated bathrooms are all amazing with fantastic beds, linens and everything you need. Amazing value for money for the amount of house that you get. We will be back!!!

SUPERB STAY
What can I say about our stay... as a family of 13 we had an absolutely brilliant weekend to celebrate our grandmas 80th. The whole house was perfect for us all. The pool table and games room was a brilliant idea for later on after being In the garden all day in the sun and is suitable for all ages.
The bbq was perfect for the hot day yesterday.
The rooms were spotless and the bathrooms aswell.
The communication with Mark and cas was superb easy and very quick to reply to any messages. If you are wanting to get away as a big group and want to just unwind this is the place.
The castle Inn pub we ate at on Friday is a must, there is a menu in the property to have a nosey at before you go. also every single one of us enjoyed what we ate and its only 10 minutes away.
Thanks for an amazing stay again we will definitely be back in the future.

Perfect for a Family Celebration
New Hall has a wonderful atmosphere and combines a fascinating sense of history with practicality and comfort. The building is beautiful and in a lovely part of the country. There are many interesting places to visit in the area - most conveniently Chirk Castle, which is within walking distance. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and situated next to the dining hall, where there was a table big enough to accommodate a large party in front of a welcoming open fire. Two other living rooms provided facilities for watching television, reading, playing snooker or solving jigsaw puzzles - a favourite occupation of our party. The weather was superb over our long weekend but if it hadn't been, as can be the case in that part of the world, then we would still have had a great time just staying indoors. We would love to organise another visit some time in the future. Our thanks to the owner and the housekeeper, both of whom couldn't have been more helpful and welcoming.

Wonderful Weekend
We were a party of 13 adults and 3 dogs staying at New Hall for a long weekend.
We had a fantastic time, we couldn't fault the house, it was very comfortable, clean and well equipped. We stayed the weekend of Storm Eunice and Storm Franklin so unfortunatly didn't get to explore the area, but we made good use of the house, and stayed in for most of the weekend, The games room and pool table was well used and also the piano !!! Despite the horrendous weather we were lovely and warm and lit both log burners and the dogs enjoyed lying by the Aga in the kitchen.
Mark was an excellent host and was really easy to contact and quickly responded to any enquiries. We look forward to coming back to stay. Thank You

We hope to return
We have been before, and we hope to come again. The children adore exploring the house and garden. The national trust country park that starts at the end of the track is really handy for family friendly walks. The property feels spacious and relaxed and cosy all at the same time. Proximity to the train station means that you don't really need to have a car (providing you get a supermarket delivery).

We have had a wonderful time at New Hall, enjoying a big family get-together for my mother-in-law's 90th birthday celebrations. The bedrooms are comfortably large, as are the beds, the kitchen is very well equipped the lounge has plenty of big sofas, and outside, the grounds are wonderful for children and dogs to explore, as well as being very lovely. New Hall is a warm and welcoming house and we hope to be back.

Surpassed expectations
We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. The property was even more beautiful in real life and in an amazing spot. There was a large group of us celebrating my husbands 40th birthday. The rooms suited our needs perfectly and the huge kitchen and hallway were perfect for socialising and the games room was a great hit! Mark was very helpful from the start and then Jo, house manager, went out of her way to get the house to get the beds set up as we needed for our group, arrange check in times and even helped me unpack the car. We would love to revisit and it’s a perfect place to take the children next time too!

As my husband turned 60 we wanted to be together as a family under one roof.
Our party included a new born baby four children and 9 adults. We had everything we needed at New Hall. The kitchen had all utensils crockery and pans. The bedrooms and bathrooms all spacious and the dining area games room and lounge meant the family could all enjoy time together. Extra bonus was the lovely garden great location. Thanks New Hall

Vintage cottage
it was a lovely old cottage, the bad part was that there were no downstairs rooms and therefore limited access for disabled guests. Generally the property was nice, and property manager was friendly.

Relaxing, spacious family holiday in a great location.
We had a great week at New Hall. Space enough for all twelve of us. Large garden for dogs to run around. Would have been nice to have an instruction booklet in the house to assist us with how things worked, like how to get the best from the Aga, and where and when to put out the bins etc. Would have been nice to have some better outside furniture for lounging on, the chairs were ok round the table but we had an opportunity to make the most of some lovely Welsh weather and were slightly uncomfortable just on the chairs. Would also be good to have a freezer compartment in the kitchen fridge. Not a moan just a thought. Nice bedding and beds, good supply of towels and plenty of hot water! Overall great!

Great venue for family Christmas
Huge house with enough space for our extended family, close to Chirk Castle and local pubs and shops. Easy drive into Llangollen.
Rooms are spacious, generally well resourced- especially kitchen utensils, crockery and cutlery.
A couple of extra towels per room would be helpful and more wood for the fires -we used up the supply on the first night. Overall a fabulous place to stay with a large group.
