Na
I booked a room for three nights. Since our flight landed early, we notified the hotel. They told us we could leave our luggage at the reception and that our room might be ready sooner. We arrived at 9 am and waited… Turned out the room was not ready by the advertised check-in time.
At 1:15 pm, the owner finally told us to follow him to our room. We had difficulty getting there because two people strongly under the influence of hard drugs were blocking the pathway—one was lying on the floor, struggling to move.
When we finally reached our room, we saw the cleaner spraying the carpet without vacuuming it first. The owner told her, “You need to spray more; this room still smells.” The state of the bedsheet was appalling, and the cigarette smell was unbearable.
The room was tiny, not reflecting the dimensions listed on Booking.com. It was so cramped that we couldn’t even open our suitcases inside the room.
Given these issues, we decided to leave immediately. After speaking with the owner and returning the keys in person, he assured me that he would arrange a refund through Booking.com.
However, after two weeks of back-and-forth communication, the hotel owner refused to honor the refund. He lied about the circumstances of our departure, claiming we left without informing them.
In 5 years of using booking.com, I have never been to a place that made me feel so uncomfortable, with such unethical tenants. I wonder how this place is still able to operate.
Don’t make the same mistake as me, book somewhere else.

This small hotel is good for a one night stay. Had a clean room with a private bathroom. The reception is open all night. Breakfast included muffins, toast and coffee.
It was a little noisy at night because the window in our room overlooked a bar on the street

Near to everything we wanted in the Village and quiet, pretty comfortable, courteous service, also coffee, croissants and other simlpe breakfast snacks included.
It was clean, but not spotless, and dated, but we got our money's worth. Recently new carpet runners in all the halls

Friendly staff
As soon as you enter the front door, the smell of cigarette is so strong and reaches to our room. I wish I paid a bit more to stay somewhere else

It was kind of good for the money paid
The location is not good and the hotel and the furniture is very old
Breakfast is poor only butter, jam, toast and muffins.

It was close to the event that I attended
The strong tobacco smell in the room. We had to buy feebreeze and spray everywhere to get rid of the smell

I liked the place. Very good location, close to the Metro and the bed is bigger than I thought. Very good value for money. I will stay here again.
I really can't complain about anything. Everything went well during my stay.

Nothing
The hotel smelled of smoking, (supposedly smoke free..., due to allergies I could not stay...) the rooms were not so clean and just not what was reflected on the internet. But the issue was not not hotel...if you want a really affordable place to stay in Montreal and you don't mind the area and the goings on, its probably great. However, our issue was with Booking.com and the fact they did not give ANY credit when we wanted to cancel. We came to the property and my wife was appalled by the conditions and we asked for a cancelation or refund. The young fellow at the desk was more than accommodating, but then he said he could not do anything for us because we BOOKED through Booking.com. He said to contact them. We did try to contact them twice through our phones. Both times the call was disconnected through the other end - after at least 15 minutes on hold. No attempt from Booking.com was made to call back to my wife or me. I can not emphasize enough, the young fellow at the hotel was more than willing to refund us the stay for two nights...I only asked for the next night as it was was after 7 pm when we showed up. However, since we booked through Booking.com....there was nothing he could do and referred us to call Booking.com. Did not work out...very sad and the only good thing was that when we were left stranded , since we were dropped off at the hotel, we were able to get a ride to another place....different story....
MORAL of the story...beware of BOOKING.COM........For better service I will wholeheartedly recommend Expedia.ca.....they help you.......
