I like the view
Housekeeping changed the garbage only if we were outside Nobody refilled the shampoo shower gel and conditioner we stayed 9 days under the bed was so horrible it was so dirty they didn't care to deep clean and change the bed sheets they always fixed not change for 9 days. Are concern only is the way they cleaned the room it was so bad and was so lazy.

All of the staff were so helpful and kind. Charlie, specifically gave exceptional customer service! We’re very grateful for him.

The breakfast was lovely. Hotel was pretty standard overall. Nice to be downtown.
Our upgraded room didn’t have any tv that connected to the internet. Which wasn’t a big deal. Had trouble getting our devices to connect to the wifi. Big thing was the door to the communal patio was unlocked and slightly ajar. Luckily I checked it when I checked into the room. The tile in the pool was chipped, falling off, and had rust stains everywhere. Just expect more for a $500 a night place.

Very good location for exploring downtown Halifax on foot. Comfortable & spacious room (king suite with kitchen). Fully equipped kitchen. Nice breakfast room & good breakfast.
Shared pool and laundry facilities with adjoining hotel so it was often very busy. Was unable to use laundry as only one machine was working and it was always in use. Ocean view room had only partial water views as there is a large tower being constructed across the road.

The hotel misrepresents itself. It DOES NOT have king suites. One reason we chose the hotel is for a king bed, we have two small children that often end up in bed with us. We thought we received the wrong room and called down to reception. We were told all the rooms were king beds and we had a king bed. I wasn’t going to argue, but when you’re used to having kids in bed, you know the difference. My wife and I really felt scammed, and absolutely would have gone elsewhere, if we had known what we were getting.
Besides that, just regular cable and no smart tv. We fortunately had a computer and we watched movies on that. The rest of the facilities were fine. Staff was friendly and nice, except being lied to about the beds 😆

The fact that the room didn`t really have a harbor view, as I had expected.

Check in was quick, room was adequate
We were disappointed with the lack of communication regarding amenities available, ie: we were not informed at check out when and where was the hot breakfast, we were not informed at booking that the parking available was not located in the building, and the parking garages elevator was not working so we didn't know to park as close to the door as possible, we had to carry our luggage and pet to the hotel. We are healthy seniors but still found it inconvenient because of the wind and cold weather, Although we realized later that room services, ie; cleaning wouldn't be done unless we asked, it should have been communicated to us at check in. With that in regard, the room was not fully supplied for the three days we stayed so had to ask for more towels, etc. We also didn't know and were not informed until we arrived that parking would be costing us $25. per night. There was still food left from the prior guest in the fridge and the floors were not very clean. Also we paid extra for a full kitchen but didn't realize that meant we wouldn't have an oven and just 2 burners to cook on. These appear to be small issues but it made our stay at this hotel somewhat regretful.

getting a little dated. could use freshening up.

Excellent breakfast buffet options and location was also excellent as right across the street from the Scotia bank Event Centre, shopping and pubs walking distance and close to Casino.
Pool was not very clean as it had floating hair chunks. This is the only thing I have to complain about.

It is starting to look a little worn & torn. Needs freshened up soon.
