I love historical buildings, though you do have to have a bit of fortitude at times. Stairs, mostly. The hotel provides bell service, so that’s helpful.
The stairs. there’s an odd number, so easy to miss one, as I did. No injuries other than pride.

The location and staff were excellent. The room was clean and comfortable. On check-in, I was given a room in a quieter location.
it is end of season, so much of the hotel was shut down, including the restaurant, ice machines, etc.

Lovely hotel. Great location.

This is a charming hotel and very well located! Very close to the waterfront and the lively downtown area. The personnel was great as well. Very friendly check in, ability to leave your suitcases at the reception before and after our stay and support with the shower within 1 minute. Our room had a nice balcony.
The room was quite small and some facilities outdated. The window was partly broken and the shower a bit unstable. The hotel is pricy, just like other hotels in Halifax.

Lots of character. Friendly and helpful staff.
I could hear guests voices from the hall and adjacent rooms very easily. I had to sleep with bathroom fan on for white noise, which meant the bathroom light was also on. (Tip: Let water run for a long time to get hot water)
