Customer service people were very friendly.
It's an old building so could hear lots of goings on outside of ur rented room..doors don't close quietly, at all.
3.4
Air conditioner worked
1. On arrival mid-afternoon, no front desk staff or any staff to be found. After 10-15min. On man arrived, super unfriendly. Maybe I woke him up?
2. Room appeared clean at first then noticed gummy rug & long dark hairs in bathroom…not mine.
3. Early evening the fire alarm went off. Staff did nothing to evacuate guess or to provide any direction. Most guests wondered about, a three of us went to the posted muster point.
4. Noise. From kitchen hvac system near 2nd floor rooms and poor crying baby in room next door.

Nothing
Keys had to be reset every day!
We would go up to our hotel room on the 2nd floor and the cards wouldn't work, we would then have to go back down to reception, have them recoded and back up to our hotel room every day!
No elevators, walk up the stairs with all your luggage. (no help, no trolley etc)
Staff never followed through on any of our requests
They do not clean your hotel rooms even if asked to.
Why are you expected to sleep in unmade beds, and uncleaned bathrooms, for 5 days, and still pay full price?
On our first evening at 4 AM, we were woken by neighbours, with the television blaring. They ignored our knocking. They ignored the reception's phone calls, they ignored the reception's knocking and at 5:40 AM the police arrived and kicked them out, needless to say, we got no sleep...

The location with lots of parking spaces and free water bottles.
My room had no kitchen, it had a non function stove with a instruction not to use it. The room was nowhere near over 300 sq foot as it advertised on booking.com. The room was poorly insulated, we could able to hear everything when my next door neighbors talked. There were no coffee cream, we had to go downstairs to ask for the creams whenever we wanted to drink coffee.

The location is good. The bed quality was nice as well. The day staff was great. Downstairs
Asked for a crib and it was confirmed that we would have one but when check in we were said that they gave it to someone else.
Very noisy : not only the windows are not good and it gives directly on the street but you could also hear everything your neighbor were saying and when they were flushing the toilet or using the tap.

Loved the room, family room
It was nice and clean
The pool looked super dirty and the hot tub was down, also we had ppl next to us that we could hear as if we where in there room, walls where thin

Location
Poor breakfast and not detailed cleaning

A fairly clean room but Covid is still in force in this area of BC so there were no maid service or indeed any other service apart from what we could get such as new towels daily from the front desk. The promotion offered a king room with mountain views, but upon arrival all we got in room 110 was a view of the hotels grassy quadrangle. Our mobile phone was not with us and the phone in the room didn't work and was removed on day one and three days later still wasn't returned. There was basically no security in the car park adjacent to the main road
The hotel is advertised with the magnificent name of Riviera Plaza but no name like this is noticeable as above the door it is called the Village Green Hotel and may change after covid is all over, making the place somewhat difficult to find

Breakfast was a bit meagre
They did not allow a late checkout for free..wanted to charge extra ...ridiculous
3.4
Location and price
Coffee maker. Hair blower unsafe. It sparked and smoked

Check in, finding room, parking. It was all good

The room was great , great beds, very clean. It was great to be on the grassy area for our dog. We did not try breakfast.
The staff were superb.
The hotel is working to upgrade the amenities,( pool, restaurant, fitness, etc). It did not affect us at all.
3.4
I liked the location of this hotel, and the fact that we had a balcony.
The staff originally told us that the room deals we saw online were not available, so we hung up and booked online at the price we found.
There was garbage left in the ice bucket and some hair left in the bed. The beds seemed clean so maybe it was from housekeeping (or maybe that’s what I told myself to feel better).
There were also bugs in our room and we couldn’t tell where they were coming from. Not sure if that’s a southern BC thing or not, but it wasn’t pleasant to deal with.
3.4
Location OK.
The "gym" was bad, they said it was "under construction". The breakfast was bad, just a couple of snacks in a paper bag. The A\C was noisy. The shower was bad. Both the gym and breakfast were not was advertised.
3.4
The rooms were spacious
The showers from two different rooms were plugged and the first room was dirty. The staff does clean, a blonde lady doesn't care at all about the condition of the rooms. If you don't place the request, the room doesn't get clean or towels changed.
3.4
It was close to downtown
Older carpet in the room

We did not like anything much on site at this hotel.
Staff was not very helpful when we asked that the washrooms was dirty when we checked in . Staff said they will check with cleaning lady. They did not send anyone to clean or to give a discount or to help in anyway.
Breakfast was horrible , no coffee, no water bottle,
They just gave a juice box, a cookie , a muffin, 1 yogurt
Even a child would NOT eat that
My family was very disappointed and disgusted by this place
Please do NOT GO TO THIS HOTEL
I paid $ 175 for 1 night it's worth $ 30 a night

Rate of the room when we booked
Smell like cigarette., very old carpet in the room.
No front desk officer waiting at front desk
I have to call several time for about 10mins

It wasn’t clean. There was weed smell in my room. Bathroom was too small. Breakfast was not good at all.

Need to improve rooms and cleanliness of the rooms

Wasn't good. I was ripped off.
Didn't get the upgraded superior queen room with balcony promised by booking loyalty program. Front desk guy said he was manager upon complaining in morning . Said he could do nothing after the fact. No power to do comp.....liar. He said I was free to leave after I checked in night before on a non refundable booking. I got a unwanted run down room with skylight waking me up bright at 5am after a late 11pm arrival. Robbed me of sleep. Charged me 15 dollars on top of booking rate. I am a military veteran and was treated disrespectful after they ripped me off

breakfast was served in a brown bag with kids meal sizes, not professional at all
breakfast served at a real dinning area with made meals on the spot

I only picked it because it it was cheaper than most and had a restaurant, pool and free breakfast. After I arrived, I started getting emails that the restaurant was closed, so was the pool, and no breakfast.
When I went to my room, the deck was filthy, with scattered cigarette butts and about 2 doz. empty beer cans and 1 dirty chair. I asked the front desk to move them and they said, in the morning. The bathroom had hair in the tub and sink. I expected the place to be old and undated but I expect cleanliness.
Also, desk service was very condescending and had a smirk on his face when I was telling him my concerns. Another thing, the evening I stayed, I couldn’t phone the front desk as the mailbox was full!
3.4
There was no breakfast restaurant. And the bar also has been closed since covid.
There was also alot of homeless people in and around the property.
3.4
Comfy bed and pillows
Had homeless ppl in gated area trying to get in... Couldn't take my dogs out because I felt unsafe... Told front desk and was told it's ok it's safe

Bed was pretty comfortable for me and my husband. The room was clean, bedding was clean.
Would have liked the pub or restaurant open. I don't understand why they do not open the pool/hot tub
Covid restrictions are long over with.....open up the facilities already. This was our second stay here but next time we will go to another hotel so we can use the pool/hot tub and have breakfast.
3.4
Bed was really comfortable, view very nice. Free yoga class in the morning, staff were outstanding and Share was most helpful and proficient. Close to all amenities.
The hotel needs an uplift, freshen up with new paint and maintenance .
