Ease of access for highway travellers, we were pulling a 30' trailer and parking was no problem. Also free breakfast was a bonus for getting on the road early.
Everything was fine.

Good location, decent breakfast, and nice large rooms.
Old tubs with a curved bottom. Safety handle in the shower was rusted and not attached to the wall.

Hot breakfast was good. Nice variety of food choices. Very friendly staff were quick to assist if anything was needed.
Front deck/step construction was going on during our stay. The property will be much nicer with that completed.

the hotel is clean, has a beer store and restaurant on site. Fred breakfast was good with hot and cold options. We ate in restaurant and food was good, excellent service.

The manager over charged us and would not refund the money, he was very rude when I asked him to refund us he video tapes me and yelled at me, they counted the forks we used treated us like criminals, we're rude to our dogs and charged us 300$ because their was dog hair on the sheets
The manager was rude, ignorant, callus and over charged us, breakfast was meager and they acted as if we were criminals

Tend to always stay here when I visit FSJ. Usually a decent place for a decent price.
normally I don’t have a problem but this time our NON-smoking room and cigarette smoke venting into our room through the bathroom vent from the floor above. I have lung issues and had my infant daughter with me and we shouldn’t have had to breathe in secondhand smoke. Next issue was the fact the bathroom door wouldn’t close.

Rooms were smokey, hallways smell like urine. So disgusting.

staff were friendly. got to see family, good location in town for us.
STAFF are wonderful and very accommodating for our young family.
BUT the smell!!! Holy man the smell..
this hotel reeked. An ozone generator is a major purchase you guys NEED because the air quality is at a concerning level. Especially when we had a baby with us.
Also some minor but regular maintenance is essential on those air conditioners, filters changed&cleaned and well if they don’t work why are they in the room?
These things are not hard or majorly expensive for a business at all, minor things that would attract a lot more people. A lot more families. And make the stay a lot more comfortable, feeling like I have to run through the hallways back to my room was not fun, it was disgusting. To make me want to come back, I want to feel like the hotel gives a hoot about the guests.
If the smell changed it would be a completely different rating but because of that I’d put it at a 2.
If these changes happen I would appreciate an update so we can plan more/longer stays with you guys to see family more often in FSJ.
you guys know people smoke in there. do your due diligence and get an OZONE GENERATOR!!!! I actually think it’s regulation because the second hand smoke my daughter was exposed to and I had no idea because I specifically got non smoking room. that can’t/shouldn’t be legal that’s my childs well being!!

Did not partake of breakfast. We're not awake in time
The fact that being elderly and having to go up and down stairs just to have a smoking room was very hard on us.

The smell of cigarettes was really strong in the room and the hallways. It was discussing. The free breakfast consisted of granola bars and coffee.
