we chose this place to stay coz it's just 6minutes travel to nanaimo bay and we need to catch a 6:30am ferry
Actually there is nothing wrong with the motel..It was the booking.com who mess up our booking..i would need a a refund since there was a flaws on their end..they email me (july 2 at 1ish pm,which i read on the following day) telling that this motel
can't be able to accommodate us due to overbooking and they gave us the options where to stay and i can't be able to do the changes coz my data got low..what i did i called the motel to double check.and i found out that there wasn't any booking under my husband's name so i made another booking again this time straight from the staff of the motel and they were able
to give us a room to stay for the night..BUT it is charge again to us..meaning we are charged twice ( one from booking.com and the other one was from the hotel itself, which i did make the booking)..we just got from victoria that time so we really need to find a place to stay for the night that is pretty close to the port..It is very unreliable and made us stressful considering that i got 2 kids ( a baby and 7-year old ASD child)

Friendly front desk helpfulness. Great for last minute and so close to the ferry.
Not horrible but could have used a bit more of a clean.

Location was good. Front desk woman was a beautiful human.
Not very clean and other guests were sketchy.

Location is very good, it is close to BC ferry, and very convenient.
The only thing is the freezer needed to be defrost.

Clean comfortable room with fridge and microwave in old fashioned style motel. Close to supermarket , some restaurants etc. Walking route through woodland beside waterfalls a few minutes walk from motel (accessed beside church carpark). We used it as a convenient base close to the ferry port from which to explore Vancouver island.
Personally we would have preferred a kettle to a coffee maker in the room.

Very open and spacious, extremely friendly and helpful staff, great location
Bathroom was a bit outdated and other guests in room above were loud until very early morning.

It was close to the person I needed to see.
1. People smoke outside of their unit door and the smell goes inside the unit I was in.
2. There were lots of ants in the unit which I killed.
3. The motel was much cheaper with the prior management.

Location was good for our needs. It was a nice surprise to find that the 2ND bed was in a separate bedroom. We didn't hear our neighbour. We arrived late and left early so there's not much to say.
No bedside lighting.
We requested a room for 3 but there were towels for 2 only. I realized It late so didn't bother to ask for more and we had to leave early in the morning.

Everything was great! Staff very friendly and helpful. Clean towels, sheets etc. Good mattress and pillows. All very clean.
There s smell in the room, which I suspect is from cigarette smoking. There was a bit of noise for a while outside in car park directly opposite my window. Room 22, close to midnight that woke me and went on for a bit. It was a little hot too. Fan needs to be bigger or AC installed. Coffee is weak.

We didn’t catch his name, but the receptionist on site when we checked (was late at night on the 16th) was really nice and helpful, we could’ve talked to him all day
I know it’s hotel practice to tuck-in beds tight, but our bed was really tight, we struggled to get the bedding to feel comfortable to sleep in

location
very noisy. light outside too bright for sleeping at night. even though the blinds were closed the light shone in the room
