Customer service from staff. Overpriced for value of what you receive. Was told breakfast was complimentary but it's only for 1 particular restaraunt and was only up to $60. Complimentary is inaccurate. They charge $20 an hour to rent chairs & umbrella for the beach or $100 for the day. They also charge around $150 to rent covered cabanas near the pool. Everything is an extra charge. $175 per person for the luau. $80 per person for airport shuttle one way.

Good access to the beach and good pools/hot tubs.
Was initially placed in a room location that I specifically requested not to be located in ( overlooking hotel roof and the backside of Whalers Village). Then given option of a first floor walkout with no ocean view! Declined both and was told they had no “proof” of my initial request of room location! Should have booked directly with the hotel directly not through booking.com! After waiting for the desk manager was offered a waterfall view or ocean view handicapped room. With no other options offered took the handicap room which had limited lighting and room due to handicapped features in room. The one sink in the bathroom could not be used as a wash basin because you could never lift the handle to plug the sink because you could not lift the handle to plug the drain because the mirror above the sink was installed too low. Also, upon checkout found out they charged my credit card again for the full amount of the stay after payment in full was charged 4 months prior to our stay!

Ótima localização, em uma das melhores praias de Maui (Ka’anapali), equipe atenciosa, área das piscinas do resort incomparável.

The location is absolutely fabulous, we could see whales from our balcony, it was fantastic. Right next to the Whaler’s village too which is lovely.
The constant music at the bar 18 or so hours a day was really annoying. Being so close to the beach it would be nice to be able to leave the windows open and listen to the sea but we simply couldn’t and that’s a real shame.

Loved the new adult sand pool!
Our screen door was impossible to slide open.
We reported it.

This is my 4th time there. Absolutely love it. It so nice to have everything right there for you. It’s perfect walking to the Whalers Village and to just take a walk

I recently stayed at the Westin Maui Resort & Spa for five nights and had an excellent time with my fiancé. The resort is packed with fun and entertaining amenities, convenient restaurants and bars, and a very cool pool area with waterslide. If you are staying in this area of Maui mostly to go to the beach or sit by the pool then you will not be disappointed with the Westin. The location is right on Ka’anapali Beach so you can step directly on the sand. For the price, which is very expensive, I was extremely happy with the beachfront views and interesting pathways and sights. I was happy with the King bedroom I reserved and even though I did not have an ocean view I really enjoyed the garden view that overlooked the nearby golf course and had the mountains in the background. The room was very clean and the bed and bath areas were great. I really liked the bedding and mattress. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food that we ordered from the Hale Moʻolelo was pretty good both the takeout and dine in. We appreciated that the Hale Mo’olelo was open late. There is often live music and we were very impressed with one of the singers during our dinner meal. I did not get a chance to try the fancier restaurant or their market & eatery. I got drinks from the poolside bar and the Hale Mo’olelo and they were always made great tasting and strong with booze. One of the best parts was the lobby of the resort which had a gigantic coy fish pond with lots of real flamingos just hanging out. There is also three larges cages with parrots and cockatoos for the guests to enjoy viewing. The resort has little events going on all the time. My fiancé was able to have a parrot walk on her head from the animal trainer and often employees would be handing out freshly cut fruit. The Westin has a sidewalk the follows the length of the beach past other resorts and is a fantastic walk to start the morning. There is also a shopping mall directly next door in walking...
I did think the room was a smidgen too small but it did not negatively effect my trip in the slightest. My fiancé thought the room could have had better soundproofing because you could hear noises in the hallways easily. The shower in the bathroom was modern and great to use but is loud and might wake people up. Parking was $45 a day for self parking but at least the parking garage was very close and easy to get to quickly.

The beds are really clean and housekeeping is really great. It's right next to the beach.
The TV kept shutting off and losing signal. The rugs were really gross. I picked the hotel because the pictures showed the flooring without rugs but that was a misleading advertisements. The kind girl at the counter did offer me a room without the rugs but those rooms were located on another floor which was way more than I could afford. I wish that "rugs" would have been specified in the room description. I could of spent more time looking for a room I could afford that didn't have carpet, instead I spent my whole vacation congested with allergies.
4.5
The amenities were awesome, the pools, the hot tub, the cabanas, the restaurant, the birds and the vegetation around were all top notch.
The room was not upto my expectation. For the amount spent I was expecting it to be much luxurious. That was a disappointment actually.
