The location is a perfect retreat! Out of the way yet close enough (by vehicle) to several restaurants if one wanted to go out for a meal. Also close to hiking, sights, various ocean accesses and town. The room was an artistically decorated studio apartment and included a private deck surrounded by lush forest and palm trees. The breakfast (additional charge and worth it) was delicious; yogurt, fresh berries, juice, muffin, homemade granola, coffee/tea, honey. The hosts Wendy and Joe were very genuine, welcoming and hospitable. Wendy is a talented artist and has an amazing little studio that she will show upon request. My two day experience was incredibly peaceful and it felt so comfortable to be there. I will definitely return!
That I didn't stay longer.

Location
The facilities are not as advertzed and the owner lied to us

Loved the experience of living in a tiny house!

Very friendly owners. Very secluded. Quiet and relaxing. Close to amenities (with car). Very comfortable. Interesting gardens.
Nothing to say

comfort and beautiful atmosphere, lovely gardens, creativity and love everywhere.
what’s not to like.

Wendy & Joe were extremely welcoming so we felt right at home immediately. The room is set in beautiful surroundings of an exotic plant nursery operated by Joe. Lovely, homely touches by Wendy in the room and en-suite. Wendy's art is also fabulous so don't leave without asking for a visit to her gallery!

Beautiful spot on Salt Spring Island. Host was so kind and we really enjoyed learning about all of the palm trees on the property and in the town. Loved our stay!
4.3
The setting and tranquillity of the surroundings, also fully equipped with everything you could possibly need and more
My only thought was maybe more lighting when you go through the gate at night , difficult to find the door in the dark , although Joe did come out to put a light on , the night we were earlier, apart from that it was excellent

Nice quite area.

Breakfast was similar to what I enjoy almost every day and I never tire of it. Accommodation was unique and charming and the garden was magnificent. I would not hesitate to stay there again.

beautiful gardens and setting, wonderful host

The gardens and the bathroom were good.
When I booked the room it said we were getting Magnolia Petal room but confirmation email said we were in Arbutus Petal. They are totally different rooms, I would have cancelled the reservation if I had known how small and unequipped it was. The passwords to the internet didn't work. The ladder to the bedroom wasnt attached and made for an unpleasant trip to the bathroom in the night. Kitchen was not equipped well, we were told there was a bbq but werent shown where. There were no utensils or dishes to use to bbq. The kitchen dishes were minimal. Not sure what the 2 egg cup holders were for when there is no burner to boil eggs.

I loved the dual tiny house design. I took some design notes here. What lovely hosts - Wendy and Joe were most hospitable, kind, and interested in my story,
nada

friendly hosts .
my booking clearly stated “breakfast included “, this was not the case breakfast was an extra charge .
the shower had very low water flow and the fridge did not seem to be working properly as it was not keeping food cold .

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the property was artistically decorated. Wendy baked delicious goodies.
It would have been nice to be able to get the room darker for sleeping.

I loved everything about this very special place. Location, decor, comfort, all the little details. It was the perfect space to rest, explore and just pause life for a while in the most beautiful setting.
Honestly, nothing I didn't like, even loved the ladder to the lofted sleeping area! The sporadic Wifi wasn't even an issue as disconnecting was a goal.

Place was clean and warm, bed very comfortable. Apart from occaisional floorboard squeak from the owners place above us, it was very quiet. Wifi worked well enough to watch a Netflix show.Gardens were very pretty.
It wasn't very much for the price. Last minute need to get away meant we didn't have much to choose from. Room was quite small - essentially a space under the owners' house. The bathroom was connected by a sliding door and had clear glass windows and so not very private. Location was quite a way from Ganges, requiring a 15 minute drive each way. For the price being charged, we felt they could have included the breakfast instead of charging extra.

The breakfast was good; delicious yogurt and fresh fruit. The baking made the experience feel homey. The bed was comfortable & it was nice to have google home.
I would have like to have had tea. The water in the kettle looked murky and therefore I didn't use it. I didn't know what the Permiso was. Also, during COVID I would have preferred to know that the dishes and cutlery had gone through a dishwasher.

Beautiful and adorable. Great for romantic getaways. Lots of arts and crafts throughout the property that really provide an authentic Salt Spring Island experience.
The wifi/cellular was unreliable, but this is the case throughout the majority of the island, so not the fault of the owners or facilities.

If you are looking for a secluded hideaway surrounded by lush vegetation, that is a joy to look at while having your morning coffee, or a glass of wine in the evening, then this is the place.
Joe and Wendy made us feel very welcome, gave us our privacy, and always took care of any requests we had.
Joe provided some great tips, like the beach close by where we had a late afternoon swim, and the Treehouse Restaurant where we had a truly amazing meal.
Highly recommend this place!!
The TV is in a weird spot, but we didn't watch TV.

Magnolia Petal was an oasis in the forest. I could feel the tension dissolve away as I read my book surrounded by the amazing combination of manicured and natural flora and fauna. The natural wildlife also added the most beautiful live soundtrack to the experience. Wendy & Joe were delightful.
WiFi was not great, but this was a challenge all over the island.

The Magnolia Petal is a beautiful little hideaway! It is such a tranquil little spot and the interior of the suite is decorated so nicely! Bob and Wendy are so sweet and have made this B&B the perfect place to get away!
