It was a nice hotel in a good location and the staff was very nice.
Very noisy, I think the people above us had a dance party all night.
4.1
Attractive selections, very clean area and easy to access. The variety of seating is a nice convenience i.e. computer use.
Swim suits in lobby (more a lack of courtesy by guests).
Distance to elevator.

location, size and comfort of room, good breakfast and very few hiccups. There is always one or two things that can and
usually do go south on any trip, in any hotel. We stay in high end hotels in New York, Seattle, New Orleans and San Fransisco and your hotel stacks up well against all of them. The only two (very minor) issues were that we had to get the room cards reset a few times and there was one front desk clerk that although, very helpful did not display any warm ans fuzzy feeling as the other staff members did

The hotel was nice enough, it was comfortable and clean. It was also nice to have the breakfast option
MAJOR PRICING PROBLEMS. When I initially booked my room, I asked for a suite because I wanted the seating area, and I was given approx $700 for the price. When I checked in, I was put in a regular room with two beds and yet no one told me that the price would be any different. Because I was traveling with my mother, she asked if AARP was accepted, and it was. This gave me a new price of $197 for one night, then $220 for the next night. When we checked out, we wanted to split the payment. The front desk person said that our total was $638! When the new room rates we were given, the total should have been $420 plus tax. She tried to tell us that she couldn't change it and we were out of luck and would have to call back two days later and ask for a refund of the difference. My mother and I absolutely refused that option and asked for a manager. They still couldn't explain why there was a price difference, but was able to fix it, until I checked my bank account. Even though we'd specifically told them we wanted to split the cost, they still put through an authorization to my card for the FULL $638! They did cancel the charge, but not before it tied up that entire amount in my bank for 4 days. The manager tried to argue with me about the charge and at no point apologized for their system making a mistake and charging me the wrong amount.

Hotel looks like it needs additional decorating. Coffee pot did not work. This was the most expensive Hotel in Gunison Co. And not worth the price. Breakfast was ok but not special.

location is good, king room was big enough
Reservation (made only the night before) was “not showing in system”. My booking confirmation code was apparently “useless”. Sluggish receptionist then suggested to just put in another reservation - that this way rate would double didn’t trouble her that much (original booking was non-refundable). Turned out they put my middle name initials in front of last name (a first in dozens of ‘booking’-reservations over app). Ok, things happen.
We had to wait for room to be ready, which was totally ok as we arrived a bit early. When it was, keycards didn’t work. New receptionist swapped them, no big deal.
King room was roomier than expected. Window super small, thus need for constantly turned on light. AC very noisy. Surprisingly at this rate you don’t get a shower head you can stand under at 6‘1“.
Some parts remodeled, some highly overdue (elevators, come loose tabletops in breakfast area), much improvisation going on (elevator signage).
Then: FIRE ALARM at about 3:30am! Down at the lobby a service member told me „it’s most probably false alarm, as we‘ve had it also the night before“. It was false (again), no info whatsoever was given, we went back to the room to sit awake in strobe lights (at least sound was off), as it took them forever to switch it off.
In the morning no word, no info, no explanation, of course not an additional minute on breakfast hours. I get the importance of alarms and that they sometimes are false. All the more they should have sorted it out on first occurrence.
Another receptionist at checkout, literally without saying a word - apparently annoyed to have to look up from her cell for clients.
All in all the most disappointing stay after three weeks of traveling Colorado and beyond.
