I didn’t, has lost its class…we were last there 20 years ago, the shops were thriving downstairs, there was a mix up with our check in, which took 45 minutes to straight out. My 4 year old grandson lost his blanket in room 1529 in the bed close to window, and no one has found it yet! We called immediately about it when we realized it when we got back to NJ

it was clean
first and foremost I feel as though the advertising was false as a former employee of the sporting club. my wife and I planned a leisure trip . I wanted to show her all the affordable ammentities that came with a stay at the belvue hotel.we booked our room online and it showed all the normal ammentities shops, swimming pool, restaurant (s). There was mention of any renovations when we addressed the issue at the desk. we were brushed off more less we got the feeling that it is what it is and make out the beat way we can. ps and it appears my wife and I were the only ones smiling this bright and sunny weekend.this historical building with all its plush interior deserves more than that . I my self could do better. Mr and Mrs Takeesha Howell

The architecture and decor
Staff was a little uppity. Told them my daughter was coming to join me but would not let her in. The directions for guests on how to enter at night not clear at all. Should be the first thing explained after checking in. Hallway carpets need serious replacement, old and dingy and stained. Rooms are large and great. The architectural details of the Hotel are beautiful.

It was in a perfect location and easy to walk to nearby attractions.

It’s was nice. The robes in the room were pretty good. The shower was decent.
The room was too small, I booked a king room city view and it wasn’t what I expected or what showed on the photos. The mini fridge did not work and when we notified the front desk they told us someone would be up to help but no one showed up to fix it at all. The bathroom sink lacked water pressure.

Location was ideal close to shopping, restaurnts many amenities would stay here next trip. centrally located to many historical venues.
transportation from the airport to the hotel was horrible

The hotel is in a great location; and parking/valet was incredibly speedy. The staff was overall very friendly. Breakfast was in a beautiful room with killer views.
I had called ahead to request early check-in, and was surprised when it couldn't be guaranteed / accommodations couldn't be made when we arrived early. We ended up waiting over 2 hours to get into our room. Our suite was facing the inside of the hotel with no windows (no one mentioned this) and didn't come equipped with standard bar items despite having a full bar set-up (no glasses, wine openers, anything). The room was pretty dark because it was on the inside of the hotel. The amount of negative small things were surprising for a hotel of this price/quality.

wasn’t the cleanest

The room did not look anything like that pictured online. It was quite disappointing. One window facing an air shaft. The online picture showed a corner room with three windows. The front desk staff was unhelpful. This is not a quality establishment.

The bed was extraordinarily comfortable, and are room was generously large and light-filled. The upstairs XIX (on the uppermost 19th floor, naturally) restaurant and bar are wonderful, serving breakfast, brunch, a complete bar menu and libations. These extraordinary, century-old rooms have tall ornate domed plaster ceilings, matched by no hotel in the U. S.
The hotel is a bit down on its heels. And I muttered to myself, when checking in, oh my…how far the old Bellevue-Stratford has fallen. But, it still stands, and she is still magnificent. Few things would make me happier than to see the Bellevue preserved and restored.
Needs to be spiffed up (carpeting, paint, etc.)

Great location. Good morning coffee upstairs. Willing to hold my bag until I was ready to leave the city.
No water glass in my room. My room was rather like a closet. In room phone did not work. No clock in my room. Guests in the hotel woke me up with loud talking and door slamming t 1:00 and 2:00 am.

Loved the location and the beautiful architecture of the building!
It felt like a ghost town….nothing was open. There wasn’t any information regarding the closed shops, bars, restaurants on the websight. If we knew that, probably would have stayed elsewhere.

beautiful historic building
I called before hand of which I have a copied chat that indicated our flat trailer would not be an issue. turns out it was an issue and it costs me double money. air conditioner was broken on one of the hottest days. doorknob fell off when husband tried to come out of bathroom. sent a guy to fix both and he proceeded to bang on the doorknob for a while. mind you this was almost 11pm. terrible room, terrible quality and for the money we spent it should not have had those issues.

Location was perfect for City Center. Able to drive to baseball stadium in 20 min. The breakfast was amazing. The bar was comfortable.
