Overall, I enjoyed my stay at Shasta Inn. The beds are comfortable, there was adequate hot water, parking was good, restaurants and other amenities were all close by. In-room refrigerator was nice.
At least in my room (#35), the internet was abysmal. It was difficult to establish a link, and when I did, it dropped frequently, requiring me to retype the password over and over. While I was eventually able to send emails and text messages using my mobile device, I was unable to do any work that required an established internet connection on my laptop. Also, the room had a long bench against one wall with two high stools where one could sit and work. But other than that, there was no place to put a suitcase or any other items besides the floor.

Staff was friendly
The room had a strong odor of cigarettes
I recommend removing everything and revamping it # 10 and the toilet was not mounted to the floor and rocked back and forth when you sat on it

When having issues with our sink they reacted directly which was appreciated! Location of the hotel is good, this little town is tiny so any location is good I would say. But you are close to the lake, close to a nice cafe, close to the mountain so location was good.
We started having issues when arriving, our room was not ready, they offered us another room which was not what we booked so check in was 1 hour late. Cleaning felt very rushed due to this, our sink had a full stop which I guess you would notice if you clean properly. When the sink got fixed the person doing so left loads of soil in the room from their shoes and it wasn’t cleaned up. I had to ask myself for a broom which was a broom used for the outside…Due to covid they do not offer cleaning, making beds or even empty trash cans.. we stayed for 4 nights!!! come on… 3 years, let’s get over it and start cleaning the rooms, or leave a broom at least. Rooms are small, super loud, neighbours very disrespectful especially because you hear EVERYTHING. We were also given the worst room on the side where you heard people using the stairs super late all the time. Heating is an old AC unit, old rooms so heat leaves the room fast, this means… that extremely LOUD AC unit is on almost all the time. . horrible. I haven’t slept that bad in a long time. When our own heater was off you hear your neighbours. Don’t want to know how high their electricity bill is. Wi-fi connection is terrible. Very sad, I was looking forward to finally being away for 4 night but - No, we are not coming back.

I can't say that I liked anything because the room was dirty and it was hard to get a good night's sleep with the loud sound of the heaters.
I didn't like that the rooms were not clean besides the sheets being changed. The floors were dirty and surfaces were not clean. What was really hard for me was sleeping since the heater in my room and adjacent rooms kept coming on to maintain heat and they were so loud. On the second night, I turned it off and kept the little heater in the bathroom on so that helped but the room above me and next to me still used theirs and I could hear it.

Overall was satisfied with the motel, free parking, beautiful area, conveniently located.
The bed and pillows were not super comfortable, and no one mentioned the train that passes nearby several times at night and is not shy about blowing that horn, so didn't sleep well.

Good location
Small rooms, tile floor, small trash can, overall not a homey comfortable feeling. Room was cold and the air unit didn’t work properly. Internet was very bad. Overall just not the type of place I usually stay at. Good for one night traveler.

We loved the pine trees surrounding the property. We liked the room upgrades and pine decor . The beds were comfortable.
The tub was not cleaned properly. There was hair on the back of the tub and on the floor.

We liked the location as it pertains to the town of Mt.Shasta.
We were by the stairs and our bed shook like an earthquake while people walked up and down the stairs. The lights were not working. We wanted to read but could not get the lamp to work. The A/c was buzzing loudly. There was no one in the office - you need to call to get the key. The restaurant was closed.

The location was perfect for everything to do around Mount Shasta. The place was simple and met our needs.
The housekeeping was deficient for during our 5-day stay there was no cleaning room service. The staff at first was unfriendly even during phone calls so they weren't as welcoming as one would expect. However, the check in was much friendlier.
