They did try to accommodate my early arrival. I was charged an hourly fee for every hour before check in, but it was better than waiting 5 hours for check in with nowhere to go. It's also only about 10 minutes from the San Diego Airport.
It sat right off the highway, and the area was a little uneasy for walking in the evening. The hotel is a touch run down, but overall it wasn't terribly bad. I felt it was a bit pricey for a Monday evening in a hotel that needs work.

Sidney at front desk was excellent! If it weren’t for her we probably would have checked out and found another place to stay. Plenty of safe, street parking available avoided the $16 daily hotel parking in the tiny hotel parking lot.
Styrofoam plates/plastic utensils. Lots of waste.
Tattered carpet in room. Wall art needs refreshing.
Dark rooms. There are windows but no views.

Good variety. Tasted great.
Sheets, floor, corners, baseboards could have been cleaner.

Room was clean and bed was comfy. Facilities were clean as well. Somewhat easy to walk to restaurants near the location.
We had to pay $16 for parking, after paying more than $350 for the room which I did feel was worth that much. I believe if you pay that much for the room you shouldn't have to pay for parking on top of that. Also they close down their breakfast at 930, which makes no sense. Some people do eat breakfast later in the day. We were rushed out by the staff because it was 930. Was a huge disappointment.

Staff were great - Ali in particular (thank you).
The bed was very comfortable!
Having breakfast by the pool.
Walkability to Old Town - close and felt safe in daylight hours
There are some simple things that could be done to make the rooms more comfortable. My room in particular was very noisy - not sure if others were same - but even putting weather stripping around the door would have cut noise (and light) significantly. Bathroom needed a reno for sure but that's costly, but in the meantime a new shower curtain and some paint would go a long way. I think the air conditioner needs servicing - I like my room cool, and it's always cool in my home. But the air conditioner couldn't find 68 degree. 69 wasn't cool enough but 68 literally froze my nose during the night... it wasn't 68! Came home with an air conditioner cold :(

Breakfast was average. Location was ok for my purposes.
There was a dispute over a damage deposit that was supposed to be returned on check out but was not resolved until some months later and required the intervention of my bank. I believe if I had not pursued it I would never have received the money back.

only thing I can say that I liked about it how close it was to old town.
I didn’t like how the property said “Non smoking” and there was people in the front smoking, I didn’t like how I went into my room and there was light walking (no light switches only lamps), my restroom curtain was ripped and it made it hard to shower and my toilet was clogged and there wasn’t no stool in the toilet and staff told me they give me toilet plunger instead of them fixing it! the rooms A/C wasn’t blowing out any fresh air seem to blow warm air the whole time we had it on and it was very loud!

Ease of check-in and check out. Bed very comfortable, nice towels.
Our room needed bath and shower bars to hang towels; it did have a couple of hooks. No full length mirror in room. No place to plug in coffee pot except on the one night stand we had. No desk for working or using computer. Poor lighting and small cabinet for clothes. Room ok for one person, but not two.

Loved the breakfast (especially the waffles!). Eggs were a little dry but that was no problem. Good coffee too. Room was very comfortable and shower head was awesome. Staff was really friendly and helpful, and let us check out 30 min late because our train was later in the day. Location can't be beat - we took the train and walked everywhere, including to the hotel.
View was of the freeway entrance on the first floor, but that can't really be helped, and we didn't spend much time in our room anyway. Bathroom sink didn't drain very quickly. A good bit of wear and tear on the furniture.

It was clean not far from public transit. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly.
Bathroom could have used a bit of up keep. Exhaust fan seemed as if was about to fall. Shower curtain was torn. Window did not open or lock correctly.

The breakfest was good! And a lot of the thing were kosher, you just need to ask to see the label.
The room was clean and the hotel was beautiful
They charge 16 dollars for parking for each night.

It was convenient for the airport which we needed the next day. Left before breakfast so can’t comment on that.
Room was small. Put next to elevator when there were others available.
