This was the best hotel we stayed at on our whole vacation. We would recommend this hotel to everyone. The breakfast was the best out of all the hotels we stayed at.
Nothing everything was awesome.

Breakfast was decent, checked in with a pet, and had a ground floor room with easy access to the outdoors via a sliding door in the room.the room also has decently comfortable beds.
Staff were clearly high on drugs. VERY rude, The manager greeted me by saying "can I help you", while she chomped her gum, tapping her nails on all over her phone screen she wouldn't look up from, beep bopping her noggin all over the room, while picking at her face... claimed she was the manager, but the staff working under her were the only helpful people. She stated how she uses her personal phone to check people in and give room numbers, even while she's being pulled over by police in another state.. it was just an awkward experience and not that pleasant at all...

The bedroom was updated. It was quiet because there were very few other guests.
The bathroom was outdated. There was coffee but no coffee pot. There was no water in the shower. We asked for a refund for the shower but the manager did not call us back.

The breakfast was great. The TV options were great too.
Our bathroom was not very clean there was hair on shower wall and the toilet seat and the baseboards were covered in filth. There were spider webs going from the wall by the toilet to the toilet tank. And there wasn't any conditioner in the compartment on the wall. The jacuzzi also had a couple long black hairs in it still. It was also very noisy really early in the morning. Room doors slamming and sounded like people carrying a conversation. Right outside our room door.

the bed was comfortable
my wife and I had stayed there on our honeymoon. I had booked the room for our 27th wedding anniversary. I was very disappointed with the changes that were made. There was a loud party being held in the courtyard and a strong smell of marijuana that seemed to permeate the rooms. I did complain though and the party was ended around 9pm, so the staff apparently did respond. nothing was said or done in the way of an apology though

This used to be a beautiful hotel (Jumer’s) that we’d visit often (for dinner-outstanding) 25+ years ago. Also, my husband and I attended many gatherings in their two, large convention-type rooms in years past.
The front desk receptionist was decent as was the lady we checked out with the next morning. The lobby and the restaurant still look ok. Those areas all have “good bones”, so to speak, with heavy, oak mouldings and terra cotta floors. But, everything needs a major refurbishing.
When we arrived (with reservations) I mentioned we had a small dog (in its own cage when sleeping) and the receptionist quickly switched our rooms. Evidently, there are specific rooms for guests with dogs. We were ok with that, BEFORE we opened the door to our room. The room was awful and had a horrible smell; the beds were old with no support; the walls were chipped and there were marks all over them; the carpet was heavily stained in many places; and we didn’t even want to take showers because the bathroom was so old and nasty.
Sadly over the years there seems to have been little done to a once-beautiful hotel. It is a Best Western but I can’t see anything “best” about it. I read that even though it’s a “Best Western”, it is privately owned/operated.
Once we figured we’d tough it out (it was too much of a hassle to switch motels after our long, 7-hour drive), we noticed that there was alot of traffic in and out the exit/entrance door across from our room. So when someone went out they’d let the door slam shut loudly…again and again and again….all evening until about 2-3 am. In addition, there were people who had no respect for others by talking loudly; laughing and carrying on, continually.
Outside our patio door (to a central, grassed area) we came to realize that there were groups of people partying…LOUDLY. This was a Sunday evening!
One time I took out our dog (after dark) and there was a suspicious looking man with dreadlocks; in an undershirt; pacing outside on the sidewalk and smoking. He looked angry and I felt very uncomfortable. I opened the entrance door to the hallway and a young, large female in a bra and underpants only; danced out into the hall laughing and when she saw me she rushed back into her room laughing hysterically,
We usually stay at Drury Inn’s but unfortunately, there are none in this area. Their rooms are ALWAYS spic an span; the beds are wonderful; the rooms are quiet….and they charge about the same as this hotel.

I liked the courtyard, little space to run for the kids.
The power went off during a storm. No biggie. Nobody contacted us to give us any info. We all went to bed with no electricity, woke up it was on, and all the food in the fridge was frozen. I thought someone would mention something at checkout and I guess I should have.

The breakfast was amazing, as was the cook. He was personable and very professional. You can tell he loves what he does.
It was so cold! Felt like the air was on. Uncomfortably cold. Also the bathroom in my room was dirty. Saw need for lots of repairs.
