Our stay was good. We were within walking distance to a lot of the things we did.

It was a great location in the downtown area. We had a nice view from our room. It was kept up good for an older hotel.

There was nothing I didn’t like.

Nice, clean, and easy to use.

The continental breakfast was not good. Very limited selection. Since we were there in the winter, not much was open. A good breakfast would have been helpful. It was great that you had a bar/lounge, but you need some food in there.

Convenient, historic place to stay!

Great location, easy walk to shops and lock viewing. Convenient parking on site. Breakfast was adequate, and coffee station in the lobby was nice.

The hotel was reasonably updated, but the room carpet was ugly and not too clean looking. Everything else was comfortable and clean.

Excellent location for visiting the locks.

The first day there basically wasn't any breakfast, just some pastries and coffee. The next two days, the breakfast was better, as someone had stocked the yogurt and the breakfast biscuits, as well as offering juice and other pastries.

The facilities were still under construction in the public areas. I would think that would be the first area to fix up. The lobby was a nice place to sit, but it could have been soooo much better with a little remodeling. There was a layer of dust under the coffee table. And an uninstalled cabinet just sitting there.

Very poor

Location only. Room was dirty, had to ask for more vacuuming. Jacuzzi tub smelled like septic. Staff was rude to some guests.

Superb

We like this hotel and have stayed here in the past. The prices go up and down depending on the season, which is the norm in this city. The ONLY complaint we really had this time was that the halls were extremely noisy at night. There were kids and parents staying here for hockey and they had zero respect for others staying here. It was in no way the hotel's fault but this group was extremely rude.

I was visiting home for a funeral, so didn't really experience much.

The tap water in the hotel was wonderfully drinkable. That probably sounds weird to some but I grew up in the area and miss how good and clean the water is there. The room was very comfortable and soothing to be in. It was very clean and we had no problems with check-in or check-out. The staff was very polite and friendly.

It's an older hotel so the rooms aren't as insulated against sound as some newer hotels. It's in a quiet area so that's not the worst, it's mostly just sounds from the hallway that get in.

staff was nice, aside from the AC issue. location was good and near everything we needed with good shops and parking.

rooms advertised to have AC, and while we went in October, we enjoy sleeping in a colder room. No matter how we set the controls, hot air always came out if fan was on. Staff were asked and stated turn it as cold as it goes and it'll be cooler.. which we had done, however, it was hot air. this made the room uncomfortably hot as the hotel heat overall heated the room no matter how we had it set.

Toilet tank valve was leaking, had to fiddle with it to stop the water from running. The exercise room needs maintenance on the equipment.
