Highly recommendable hotel with awesome host

The owner and staff of the property were amazing. We arrived with the nightbus from Ecuador early in the morning and although they don‘t have a nightport, the host got up early to let us in. Our room was really comfortable and we also liked the location of the hotel, which was directly at the beach and just a few walking minutes from the main street away. The restaurant of the hotel offers delicious meals during the day and in addition tasty pizza in the evening. The breakfast was really good and included eggs, fresh bread and juices. Part of the hotel are some really friendly dogs and cats.

Great small hotel for some relaxing days

We had a wonderful time at Blue Ocean Máncora. Marlen, her family and staff are very friendly and welcoming people and made sure we felt at home. We arrived with the nightbus at 4am and Marlen let us in and use the facilities until our room was ready in the morning. The rooms get cleaned everyday and the property itself also. The shower in the room is hot, the beds are very comfortable and there's a small fridge in every room. The breakfast was also really good with a selection of bread, huevos al gusto and a different fresh fruit juice everyday. It's a small hotel with only 6 rooms so it's never croweded. There's a lot of sun chairs to choose from and they are well maintained. The pool is nice and clean, there are outdoor showers and the view over the ocean is very beautiful - we even spotted whales and a sealion. The food we ate in the restaurant was also really good and since I had gastritis they also prepared me special food that I could eat that wasn't on the menu. Would definitely stay here again :)

Very close to beach (10 minutes walking or less). The breakfast was very fulfilling. Had bar area. Pretty clean and organized.

There was a weird smell in my room, was not pleasant but did not report bc I was only staying one night and it was bearable.

My 5 day stay at Blue Ocean was wonderful in every way. The room was clean and the view was extraordinary. Directly in front of the beach. The staff were attentive and happy. The owners live on site and were always ready to assist whenever they could with such an open happy energy Their food was great, beer was cold. All in all was perfect

really nice stuff, the room has a small terrace which was nice. The pool was very clean

it didn't have direct access to the beach because of the tide, so in order to reach the beach you need to walk a bit.

This is a relaxing, quiet location. Families, couples or solo travelers who want some down time will enjoy this hotel. There are only 6 rooms, and it has a very homely feel. While the rooms and communal areas are not new, they are very comfortable and welcoming.

Fabulous find

We were so glad we chose Blue Ocean. Fantastic beach side location with pool and restaurant and bar onsite. Easy walk to town. Marlen was a fantastic host and went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay.
