The room was big and the bed very nice and soft.
Shower was big and clean.
We sew a cockroach in the room one night.
The room did not have enough cooling down.
The kitchen was under equipped and some of the guests ate our food that was worth 25$. The house is squeeking and you can hear everyone.

The host was extremely kind and accommodating, always checking in to make sure I was comfortable and asking if I needed anything.

The room is large and the bed is very comfortable. A very pleasant shower and a well kept kitchen are available. This classic old house has a lot of character. The owner is very friendly and helpful. Very nice neighborhood with plenty of shops, as well as a nice large park and public garden at only a few streets distance, all near a nearby subway station.
The nice old character of the house comes at a price as every floor and staircase makes sound with every step, though this did not bother me a lot personally

good location, 5 mins walking from subway (although quite tricky at night)
nice structure, brooklyn style

no possibility to store luggage after check out
very bad soundproof

I was alone . it was somewhat sparse for guests . I felt safe just a little curious about squeaky floorboards and who was in the other rooms. I would definitely go back.

The beautiful rooms and elegant furnishings.
It had a small kitchen with a full size stove and sink.
The friendly greeting from the manager on arrival.
The proximity to the train station and Prospect Gardens.
Breakfast was included, bur only consisted of a muesli bar.
Not enough cutlery in the kitchen.
I didn’t realise the manager was on location at the property until I was leaving
The steep stairs up to the bedroom, and no lift.

8.0 / 10.0
The location, room, and historic brownstone.
The squeaky narrow chairs. It wasn't too bad but I had some back issues that it was difficult to climb with my large bag. The staff helped which was really nice.

This is a beautiful old brownstone. I love all the levels and all of the woodwork. It's in a great location, only a 8 minute walk to the subway.
When we originally booked it, it was billed as a bed and breakfast. but I only noticed after we checked in that it had been changed to no longer include breakfast. And we had to pay $50 cash to leave our bags before checking in, as an early check-in.

Arrival was good in the evening, parking problem for car was parked 10 minute walk away. guess we where unlucky with that. Lady was helpful with arrival with was possible Intel 10PM. Instructions where clear for getting in, even if you would arrive after 10PM, loch is possible
During the reservations part, there was put a reserve on out credit card, which is ok. But then another amount was put as a reservation due a mistake from the property. Unbelievable that a stupid error like that happens and they blame other parties that it doesn't resolve quickly.. Very unprofessional and just based in this I wouldn't recommend staying here.

1890 brownstone, original woodworking and stained glass, modern AC, kitchen, shower, dining and rest areas. Friendly hostess Michelle got takeout for us when we arrived exhausted. Glad there was no TV!
The street itself is lovely, Prospect Park and MTA nearby, but business blocks were seedy. No prob, got on the subway to everything we needed or wanted to see.

nice typical building, traditional furniture, close to Restaurants and Subway in a quiet street, AC in the room, room was very large for NYC, the Lady seemed very nice
wifi did not work at all, completely useless.
room was not cleaned during 5 days of our stay
the house is an old building which is charming Bit also means it is very loud, the bed is loud, the stairs are loud, walls are thin, we were woken up By a baby crying every morning in the room Next door

Clean and comfortable room in a lovely historic brownstone. Great location- close to the train, Prospect Park, lots of restaurants and coffee shops. House is on a quiet street that felt safe when walking later at night.
There are some areas of the residence that need to be fixed up such as a broken stained glass window and a partially unframed door in the bathroom.

lovely brownstone on a leafy residential block

I enjoyed the location a lot. Nice neighbourhood, convenient to explore Brooklyn and Manhatten with easy train line connects. I liked being close to prospect park and the the street is very quite and night and quite calm and green for NYC.
Also the old house had a lot of character and personality. Nice big bathroom and little kitchen to use if you wanted to make your own food at any point. Friendly host.
I booked the single room which was not pictured on booking.com - so it wasn't until after I made the booking that I realised how much smaller the room was from the other beautiful rooms pictured. I still had a nice stay, but would have been great to have the single room pictured so you know what you are booking. The aircon unit in the room was very noisey but necessary to sleep at night. Would have loved if the window could have been opened.

The street on which the property is located is tree-lined and beautiful.
When we arrived at the property, something was immediately off. When we entered, the host seemed indifferent (or irritated) that we had arrived and brought us to the bedroom. We weren't told any information about the property including where the bathroom was located, wifi password, etc. We stepped out for approx. 10 mins to grab a slice of pizza to bring back to the room and when we entered the bedroom, a large cockroach (the size of a mouse) ran across the floor. We called Booking.com to arrange another accommodation and they called the owner, who came out of the property extremely upset with us. It was a distressing situation as my partner was on the phone with Booking.com, and I was pressured into following the host around the house. She asked me the size of the bug and after I showed her with my hands, she told me that there was no way it was a cockroach because cockroaches are smaller, so it must be a water bug. I told her I understood but that I didn't feel comfortable staying in the room with the water bug (or cockroach, or whatever the bug was). She then began pulling the furniture out from the wall asking me if i saw cockroaches and while I didn't see any, I told her that I know I had seen a bug before, as it had ran towards me in the room twice before we called Booking. Meanwhile, Booking.com told my partner that our refund was at the discretion of the host (to us, this didn't make any sense). The host was very upset with us and asked angrily if we wanted another room. We said no. She then yelled at us that she wouldn't give us even a partial a refund as we exited the property. All of this happened within 30 mins of arrival. We then had to use HotelTonight.com to book a room at a nearby Holiday Inn Express.

the location was great everything was clean. the staff was friendly and welcoming on arrival

clean inside the property
The room was so hot that nobody could sleep in that burning. There were about 85-90 f in the room at 10:00 pm. The room had a small ancient AC that made a terrible noise like a tractor. We had to leave and look for another place, so unbearable was to stay there at night to sleep.
Another funny story that blew us off was the lack of professionalism from the lady who checked us in.
She kept me in the leaving room without explaining what she was doing on her phone, which I assume was checking us in. However, you could see she struggled to use the device and did not care how long it would take her to check us in; the only thing that she cared about was to make sure she got the extra fee for the late check-in.
I asked the same lady to let me try to close the door with the key that she should open the room’s door. The minute I tried to use the key, she slapped my fingers. I was shocked.
She laughed and no apologies.
To sum up _ overall a horrible experience that cost me $400 :(.

I like the location and the old house with its character and charm.
There were some roaches around.
The fact that it’s called a B&B but there was no breakfast on any given day.
