Staff was extremely nice, helpful. Place is old and in poor repair.

Nice to have refrigerator, freezer, microwave.

Smelled like mildew. Old and needed redecorating. Did not dare eat the food due to Mildred smell of hall ways.

For the overnight stay to jump back on the road in the morning would be tolerable.

Clean room and bathroom. Comfortable bed. Helpful and supportive stuff. Close to the highway.

The breakfast was not the "deluxe" continental as described. It was very basic- Little Debbies, English Muffins, and plain bagels- no cream cheese or peanut butter. The coffee was hot though. The people working were very kind and did everything they could to make us comfortable. The man watering the plants gave us pointers on things to do in the area-which we did! Important for us was the patio area where we could just sit in the evening with a glass of wine to chat and unwind.

The outer appearance when we drove in the parking lot made me cry! I didn't see how we were going to be able to spend two nights there. Definitely needs repair. The two-key system on very old locks was a real pain. Our outer door key didn't work. We had to get another and still had to "jiggle" the key to get it to work. Room was dark and musty smelling. Tub was raised about 6 inches which made for a really high step to get in the shower ( I have a hip that is being replaced soon). Bathroom was the size of a closet. Air conditioner quit the first night- it was uncomfortably warm. The next day when we discussed this with the manager, he took time to bring us a remote to keep it going. (Don't know how the other rooms kept theirs going.) Overall, the room was clean- it just didn't have a "clean" feel to it. Carpet felt damp. I wish the owners could afford to fix this place up- they are very nice people and they would be so much better off. The end result- you get what you pay for.

If you want to stay at the Bates motel, this is the place.

Honestly can’t say I liked anything. So outdated and dirty. How this man charges 89.00 a night is unreal. We didn’t stay. Was in room about 1/2 hour or so came back from dinner and decided to leave. Didn’t feel safe sleeping there. Should be inspected and shut down. Wires hanging everywhere, mirrors everywhere. Dirty. And no breakfast as advertised which I wouldn’t have eaten anyway.

Good value for those on a budget.

Everything was swept or wiped clean in the place. No bugs. The carpet could use a shampooing, though.

The keys to get into the room area as well as the room door were a bit of a hassle. Had to adjust them just right to work and frustrated my wife.

Great place to stay with very reasonable rates and close to most restaurants.

I loved that the channel selection included a couple of christian channels. I also like the friendliness of the staff. They were very helpful in anything I asked. I also like that the extra storage drawers you don't get with other hotels.

I was a little disappointed with the breakfast as I have yeast, dairy & egg allergies so I couldn't eat breakfast there at all. I usually can find sausage.

Front desk gentleman...

Pictures were much better than reality. Front desk gentleman was great. Parking lot broken up, cars with flat tires stuffed full of belongings, and non locking outside door drove us away. Sketchy....We stayed 30 minutes then i got us a room down the street at a chain hotel. Just say no.

Uncomfortable because of the bed.

It was not filthy. The room was cute, although dated.

The bed was miserably hard. The hallway was dirty and musty smelling. The room was tolerably clean.

Very run down , not the same place 1A is not there.

The style , fire hazard, you had keys to get into motel, key for room and a key for breakfast, most door were very difficult to open. If you had a fire you would be toast

I have no real complaints about the property/building itself. The only real issue is, in order to get to your non-smoking room you had to walk through a hallway that was permeated with a smoky smell. They have to do something about that terrible odor!!

Pleasant

The staff and reception were always responsive and were willing to help to resolve any issues.

Its an old property and not built for convenience. My bathtub drin stopper did not work. There were issues with cable/network for few hours but the staff was able to fix it.
