The value of this place was incredibly good. Also the location is perfect; at downtown Sonora close to Yosemite and Stanislaus National Forest. It is sharing resources with a hotel, for instance breakfast was at the hotel and so was the pool. Both were OK.
The Wi-fi was down and we had to report it several times before it started to work. Also we had too few towels when we arrived and one day our dirty towels were removed and not replaced. We had no access to the safe when we arrived and we needed to report it twice before it was fixed. The staff was nice and corrected these issues when we reported, but it was a bit odd to have to report these so many times during a relatively short stay.

breakfast had hardboiled eggs and waffles and yogurt etc so there was enough protein,
large desk was right up against bed and was a funny bone crusher - got me good. "barn door" slider for bathroom didn't give enough privacy, room 151

Very friendly. Looks a little off-putting at first but once you see the rooms and are able to learn more of the history you realize how good of a place to stay it is. I would recommend it.
The AC went out during the night. They gave us a fan but still didn't keep the room cool. I wish more info was given on why we couldn't get a new room or something a little nicer. This is really the only complaint we have at all.

Modern room, up to date amenities, great location, all around good experience.
No complaints

Great start for daily adventures - food was acc
The television did not work we were not able to connect to it as the QR code did not appear on the screen. It left us with no entertainment in evening. Carpet in bedroom was stained. Otherwise acceptable room.

Location was good, parking was right in front of the building.
Room was (too) small for four persons, one of the beds was placed right next to the airconditioning.

Excellent lobby; excellent room , bathroom and shower. They need air conditioning in the lobby and in the breakfast room. They need four waffle making presses not one only.
Body wash empty in room. Men’s bathroom in lobby had no paper towels and no soap. Girlfriend told front desk and the body wash arrived about one hour later. Seriously.

Really nice staff, perfectly clean and a good location to go to Columbia (not for Yosemite NP! - too far and too many construction sites!) great pool!
Breakfast was complimentary but all items were separately packaged… so tooo much trash! No real plates or cutlery… that could be changed

Nicely refurbished rooms (with a touch of design!) in this motel. (The Inn is where you check in but the rooms shown here are across the street). Location is great in the center of town. You do get noise from people leaving early on excursions- that would be at any motel-like configuration. Breakfast is better than described. You even have a waffle maker. The pool is decent, more for dipping after a hot day, as you can’t sit around: the 2 chairs are iron-made and extremely hot!

great start at the Lumberjack! Clean, centre of town so easy walking to all restaurants and quick drive up the mountain!

bathroom barn door was almost impossible to open from the inside of the bathroom; I had to wait for my husband it open it from the outside

This property is located in the heart of downtown Sonora right behind the Historic Sonora Hotel.
The Sonora Lumberjack is completely renovated with modern amenities and design. The beds are very comfy. Beautiful updated bathrooms. Fantastic big screen televisions, room fridge, microwave and coffee maker. I would definitely book another stay at this hotel.

I always love a make-your-own waffle maker in the breakfast room! The staff respected our do not disturb sign. The very recently renovated rooms have a very comfortable yet trendy vibe. Love the shower head. Decent amount of water pressure! :)
The cups for the tea and coffee are not a good selection. I could taste the cardboard leech through to my hot tea. You had my favorite tea but it was unpalletable due to the cups available. It was problematic that when we drove onto the property the sign showing us where to sign in was difficult to see unless we thought to look at the Sonora Inn. There was an odd leak around the window frame that must have been coming from upstairs because the rain is not able to reach our window. We were in room 162 btw.

we stayed here in between Yosemite and Napa last minute. the front desk, the room and the service all were great. very friendly staff and nice town, especially Main Street with plenty of restaurants, even on a Tuesday.
everything was good, the only thing that was annoying were the cars and trucks leaving at 6am in the morning, which were clearly audible from our room.
