Quiet location just off of a main route, so easy to get to. Friendly front desk staff. My room was clean, no weird smells, and linens looked fresh. No stained comforter like some budget motels. Nice big shower and plenty of towels. Nice sized fridge, as well as a microwave and coffee maker. Curtains kept the light out well at night and there wasn't a lot of noise from the adjoining rooms. The free breakfast was excellent. Sausage, eggs, biscuits, gravy, fruit, juice, waffles, pastries and coffee! Made a sausage, egg & biscuit sandwich that kept me going once I was back on the road. I've already recommended the motel to friends who travel this same route and I will definitely stay here again on my way south.
Fridge door was missing a part, so I had to lay drinks flat on the shelf. Coffee could've been a little warmer at breakfast. Honestly not much to complain about.

Fine for an overnight visit with pets. The complimentary breakfast is a nice touch and they offer a pool, pickleball, and on-site laundry. The parking lot and walkways are well-lit and I felt safe while walking my dogs late at night.
The staff members that I interacted with couldn't have been more friendly.
The carpets are in desperate need of shampooing. I kept my flip flops on while in the room because they're that dirty.
Also, the pet friendly rooms only have double beds - they're not suited for two adults sleepers. I booked a queen room but was moved to a double room because the queens aren't pet-friendly (but they did waive the pet fee for the inconvenience).

The staff was very helpful and the location is good for exploring Fayetteville and the national park. The bar at the hotel had a good atmosphere and served simple but good food.
The low price corresponded with what we got, so we were not too surprised that the room was very dated and that the quality of the breakfast was mediocre. The use of disposable plates etc. at the breakfast and the lack of recycling was another minus.

The pool was great.

It exceeded what I expected
The seat on the toilet was extremely loose . Should have been and probably was noticed by the cleaning crew

Staff were very friendly. Room was a bit worn out but comfortable. Maybe the best shower I had in 6 days and 5 hotels. Price is very reasonable. Free breakfast was standard fare but it was good.
No facilities (pool seemed locked up and no exercise.) Location was a pain to get to but that's kind of everything in that area since the roads are so complex with the river and mountains to navigate.

Location could not have been better. Room was very clean. This property has a large bar and restaurant attatched with exceptional food. Excellent ribeye steak! The free breakfast was very good also with a really nice gift shop. We did not use the outdoor pool but it looked awesome. There is also a Dairy Queen, a liquer store and a gas station just a short walk away. New River Gorge is just a few miles down the road. We will return to this gem of a place.

The layout was nice. It was what you’d expect of a quality inn.
We asked if some rooms were designated pet free since we have allergies. They aren’t. They assured us that they have high cleaning and sanitizing protocols. We were dubious of that claim, as there was hair all over the wall of the shower stall. Not a solid indicator of cleaning standards.

convenient to new river gorge. near very cute town Fayetteville.

Reviews said it was only a 2-star hotel. However, I would rate it at 3 minimum, maybe even a 4! Had a VERY NICE bar and grill on site even though I did not use it. Hotel was very convenient to just about everything around. Dairy Queen rite next door and also a gas station.
The noise from the room above me!!! Dam inconsiderate people stomping around until late in the night! I now that's not the fault of the hotel. I guess you're going to have inconsiderate A-holes no matter what sometimes.

the beds were fairly comfortable
This property is way overrated on Bookings. It is a 7.5 at best. the price was way too high. The room was decent, but everything else including the breakfast and breakfast room was disappointing. It needs a lot of maintenance. I plan to use another booking company in the future. Booking.com has overrated several properties lately.

Comfortable bed and good water pressure! - all I really need for a stay during a hiking trip! I forgot about the breakfast which was a nice surprise. The location is good, close to the national park and other activities.
The cleaning could have been better. The bathroom was mostly clean but it looks like the floor and tub need a good scrub.

very friendly staff at check-in, even though it was close to midnight. the room was clean and quiet, which I find very important for a peaceful night’s rest.
i had difficulty finding out how to release the plug of the sink, to empty the sink. but if that is all I can think of that ‘bothered’ me, it means I was very happy with the accommodation.

The location was good and the adjoining restaurant was excellent. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and were very quick to resolve an issue we had with the toilet.
The room was a disappointment. The toilet didn't flush correctly, but they did send up the maintenance person right away, and it worked much better afterward.
Also, the breakfast was very limited. There was no toaster, and the hot water for tea was always lukewarm.
But I think the biggest issue we had was the smell in the room. It was nauseating to the point that we had to go and get an air freshener and put it in front of the fan. It's probably due to the dirty carpet and the fact that they allow pets in the hotel. They should remove the carpeting if they want to allow pets so it is easier to keep clean and smelling fresh.

The hotel was basic and met our needs. Staff was great and although located next to a fairly busy highway, it was fairly quiet. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was fine...enough choices to suit everyone. Very close to New River Gorge NP. Shopping and restaurants were just down the road.
Bathroom was very small and the towels were thin.

Everything except the pool not being open (Booking com said it would be.)
Lovely people, nice breakfast. All very good.
Why aren't the d scriptions on Booking.com accurate and why do reservation changes get messed up so much? We altered 2 reservations. Neither got to the hotels. We also wanted open pools and chose hotels booking.co
m said had open pools...and they didn't. We booked one hotel specifically because it would have a washing machine...which it didn't.
