This is a relatively affordable option for the area. The garden is nice.
The room decor is outdated and the rooms look tired, e.g. peeling wallpaper.

Everything was great, the staff was very welcoming and the room was clean and quiet.
There was a very strong smell in the room, so much that it stuck to my shirt. Not sure what it was, smelled like plastic or cleaning products

I was here to attend a conference at Caltech. The location is convenient and the price is fair.
The sound insulation is horrible. Every morning I was woken up by people upstairs (the cleaning personel? I was in 220). It was very uncomfortable. The door has a similar issue: if I can see the light underneath, it means that sound and filth can fo through. It created a sense of discomfort and danger. Last but not least: the pool is super nasty, as if nobody cleans it.

The room was very clean! Immaculate, really. Although a bit outdated, the room was very clean. And the breakfast spread was great. All grab-and-go items but plenty of variety to choose from, like granola bars, fruit, mini muffins, and yogurt.

Super helpful and friendly staff.
Strong smell of air freshener in the bedroom in the first night. I asked the staff to not use it anymore and they did not, so it was quite good afterwards

Elevator not working.

It's close to where we need to be. The laundry service is free.
The place is old. The room has very limited outlets, so make sure you bring an extension cord for your phone or laptop charger. You can hear all the noises from the room on top of you. The outlet in the room is away from the sink counter & 1 of the hole is very loose. We'll not come back here.

For the price I thought this motel has a good deal. I see some reviews that say it should be renovated and while some things are older and dated, everything works and everything is clean. I has the feel of a motel of a vintage past. My room was very quiet.

Throw-back old motel on old Route 66. Room is fine. Nothing fancy but clean and adequate. Bathroom works but it straight out of the 1970s. Bed was better than I had expected . Facilities are adequate. The pool area seems well taken care of. The breakfast is "grab and go" but the bagels were legit.
The place is a bit tired and could use an update, but that's not going to happen at this price point. The fact that they are still playing COVID games w/ the "grab and go" breakfast is pretty ridiculous at this point.

The staff were very nice but this is an old motel.
The noise isolation between rooms was not great. The walls creaked every time the upstairs neighbor walked. Also there was not elevator to get to the second floor.

I stayed there for the Rose Bowl/Rose Parade. The hotel is directly on the route of the parade. I have never been to Pasadena before and did not know what to expect. You are able to get a decent view of the parade from the street but there are plenty of options nearby to purchase bleacher seating. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast was good, especially on the day of the parade when all the nearby restaurants are very busy. We were able to walk to the Rose Bowl from the hotel which might be too far for some. But there is a shuttle nearby that was available. Had a great stay.

Perfect for getting a goodnight sleep... then walk out early morning to Colorado and stake out your spot for the Rose Parade. I have a young family and staying out in the cold is not an option. Also, it's so convenient to have your own bathroom to use while watching the parade.
Overpriced for the night before the Rose Parade. But all of them do. I paid for convenience.

Stayed four nights. Nicely preserved property that felt like stepping back into an earlier era. Cozy room and fairly quiet, except for one night when neighbors were noisy. Continental breakfast was simple and adequate, no hot food items. Friendly staff. Several restaurant options to walk to within two blocks in either direction. Easy access by car to The Huntington, Norton Simon Museum, Eaton Canyon, and other area attractions.
Elevator was not working. One of the women in housekeeping had a nasty cough, so I kept the "Do not disturb" sign on my door throughout my stay. But that's probably a good precaution anyway. In the room a sign stated that computers were available in the "business center", but when I inquired at the front desk I was told they no longer had that.

Convenient location, decent continental breakfast (but just a few places to sit
Elevator out of order, no complimentary coffee in room, poor setting. One evening we couldn't even find parking. Exit was very narrow for my rental pickup truck.

The room was clean, roomy and the shower was great. Nice breakfast as well. We appreciated we didn’t have to pay for parking. Only 20 minutes from Universal Studios.
We knew it would be dated, we didn’t have any complaints.
