Downtown but basic basic accomodation.

Location downtown, lady who checked me in was nice.

Smell of urine in the room. Coffee packets open. Floor not so clean. Breakfast was just bagels or english muffins.

This hotel was perfect for us and served it's purpose for our weekend away with the dogs!

This hotel was in the perfect location, was affordable, and met all our needs.

Our main issue was that the AC unit was a bit wonky, and took an hour to cool down, so the room was quite hot for a while. The pool was shut down and locked up far before the advertised "dark" closing time. Lastly, while the hotel room was "clean," it was definitely not spotless and "Hotel Clean." The linens were washed, the surfaces were dusted, and the floors were vacuumed, but the baseboards were dirty, nooks & crainys in the bathroom & shower had not been wiped down or scrubbed in quite some time. It was a very "basic clean" but not what we'd expect from a hotel.

Very good

Received very welcoming greeting on arrival. Had never been in that part of Staunton and didn't realize it's historical history. Missed having a frig to store cool items. Enjoyed eating at the Chinese restaurant across the parking lot. Would stay here again.

Disappointing

That it was close to Mary Baldwin University. The area was nice.

The sheets were stained. The towels had makeup stains from a previous guest.

Pretty, basic, very clean.

The room was very nice. Had an issue with the TV. We didn't stay. Plenty of food near by, in the same lot even. The lobby is very nice too. Desk clerk was extremely nice.

Oddly this hotel doesn't have a mini fridge and microwave in all rooms. Only the top two floors. Not sure way, but even cheap hotels have them available. Should be added to all rooms. Couldn't switch rooms because I cannot use stairs and my silly dog doesn't like an elevator. So we had to move to a different location.

It was the worst place I have ever stayed I would rather be in a county facility overnight rather than stay a night at t

nothing roach infested smelled like marijuana elevator broken Traveled with my 70-year-old mother we just lost my father and we had to walk up for eight flights of steps to get to the room just to find out there was roaches all over the place live and the room reeked of marijuana

Property was roach infested room was dirty as could be like somebody just left it we didn’t even said our bags down open the door and walked right back downstairs and checked out and then my mother almost fell down the steps

Night in Staunton.

The front desk lady was very friendly and welcoming. The room was warm and comfortable. Better sized pillows maybe?

Was just a bit dated and the breakfast arrangements lacked a little.

I'm sure could have found a better room for the price, and I was definitely concerned with safety

not much, but I did get the handicapped room I asked for.

My biggest concern was security. We checked in at 3 p.m. and there were already homeless people hanging out on the sidewalks in front of room doors and sleeping in the nearby bus stop; and one woman was trying bum cigarettes from everyone and got upset when my husband told her he didn't smoke and the continental breakfast consisted of only pancakes and cold cereal. More options would have been much better; and the pancakes were dry and cold.

Bad....all bad!

Not much. The hotel was dirty. We switched rooms because the "non-smoking" room we were given reeked. There was animal hair on the pillows and sheets and more filth on the sheets besides. The front desk lady switched us to a room that was much better. She was nice but clearly not into her job. I would NEVER recommend this hotel. Terrible!

Pretty much everything! This place is poorly managed by someone who clearly doesn't care. I would never recommend.

Served its purpose

The staff Was very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond when asked for anything. The dining area was clean and the reception area was clean.

The room overall was clean however very used and old looking(rust and worn down wood)there were also cigarette butts and fake eyelashes in the bottom of the trash cans.

this is no 5 star hotel, but is very good value for the money, its a lovely town with some brewries close by , we stayed there one night arv 19:00 and dprt 09:30am and it ok for us
