Everything was Exceptional. The hotel staff, the location, the room and amenities. I especially loved the french press with local coffee in the room. The hotel restaurant ROAM has great food and wonderful drinks. Heath the bartender was amazing. I can’t tell you enough how great this place is.

My wife, baby (2-month-old), and I stayed in this hotel for three nights and found that it was an excellent experience. The location is very good and the room was very comfortable.

The location of the Oxford is great. Convenient public (paid) parking is connected directly to the hotel lobby which is great for luggage. It is pet-friendly and they provide a sleeping mat, collapsible bowl, and some organic treats - it's a bit of a walk to find a decent grassy area for a dog to use - not a big deal unless the weather outside is sideways.
The staff are very friendly, and very helpful. The room was very clean and mostly comfortable (see below).
The big ticket item for my trip was the maintenance of the room climate control. The balcony doors and windows do not insulate the room against the cold, you can feel the air blowing in, and the doors rattle when it gusts - which is ok if you have a good heating system - but the V8 dinosaur that was belching warm air into the rooms has to turn over (on) every 20-30mins or so (to keep it at around 68degF) which results in virtually no solid sleep - bring ear plugs.
If you're a couple that enjoys sharing showers - the bathroom (which is really nice by the way) has a shower for one (unless you're both 5'2" and weigh 80lbs - then you're golden.
The restaurant is... expensively quirky... (maybe trying too hard) - I only attempted breakfast there - there was enough turmeric in my breakfast bowl to stain my gums (couldn't eat it) - the coffee is bad (no really, it's atrocious) - I hardly saw people eating any meals in there, even on the weekend, which speaks volumes...
One last passing shot to save the same disappointment I had - (every hotel is guilty of it) - if you pay for a room with a balcony and expect to see the views in the photos on the website, just know that on certain floor levels, you do see some of the mountains, if you face the right direction and look above / between the other buildings in the street.

located downtown so walking distance to shopping & restaurants. rooms are large and airy. there's a small but very pleasant exercise room on the top floor next to guest laundry. there's also a good restaurant on the lobby floor which is way better than when it was in the basement. and i've never had any problems with the wi-fi. it's always quiet in the hotel so very restful. And there's plenty of good coffee & espresso across the street at Thump or through the alleyway at Lone Pine if you don't feel like driving to the ones across the river.
the beds are starting to get soft and lumpy. it's unsecured parking but i've never had any problems.
