Great location and really comfortable bed. Lovely decor and the staff were friendly and helpful. The thing was we were transferred to the Draper hotel so this review should be for the Draper.
We were transferred to the Draper and I would have liked to be informed of this before our arrival.

Once we got to the hotel we were told that our booking was moved to a different hotel.

I didn’t get to experience the hotel as it was closed. My booking was moved to an alternate hotel close by.
I wasn’t told the hotel was closed before arrival.

i didn't even stay in the hotel. they send me to another one across the block and it was a lower quality
communication was unclear, I only discovered I've been moved at check in time.

We went to check in last night only to hear that we were downgraded and sent to another hotel almost two blocks away. Instead of calling us that afternoon to ask if we would like to proceed with the current booking (at the new hotel), the hotel had no contact with us or provided no support in walking over with all our luggage to the new hotel. The new hotel is not suitable for our travels as we required a fitness area as one of our travelling party is actively doing physiotherapy and needed the facility. The room and hotel that we were moved too was louder and has bare min. of the essentials that the original booking. I am beside myself. If we were given the opportunity to cancel or told in advance, even if by a few hours, we would have made the appropriate booking in another hotel for the needs of our travelling party. We had stayed here before and really liked it, hence why we re-booked. Will not be making that mistake again.

If Best Western take $100 damage deposit per room instantly, then why do they debit it from the credit card and not refund it for two weeks? It meant my funds were reduced by $200 on my cc for my whole holiday as I had 2 rooms. Not a good policy Best Western! You're making money on the interest on thousands of deposits! Very greedy!

When we arrived to our queen size bed room, the bed was a full size NOT queen. The walls were scratched and dirty, the shower curtain was beatup and, dingy. Most upsetting was the bed. It was clearly a full size - they tried it. I immediately went downstairs to the concierge and explained. They were kind enough to upgrade our room for free. That why I am giving them a decent rating. The concierge staff were friendly and responsive.
Hotel us selling a full size bed as a queen. My first room had a full size instead of a queen bed and walla were scratched and dirty. Room was ugly and dark. Decor is UGLY AND CHEAP.

Hotel is in a great location. It is functional and provides a bed which is all we needed really. There was nothing special about it.
I am waiting for my damage deposit to be returned three weeks after my stay.

My previous stay at this hotel was questionable, but this time they went overboard, I was very satisfied.
Everything was great, can't expect much from a Best Western, but it would be nice if they upgraded the toiletries, they're too basic.

The room climate control worked well
Wonderful photos of the bar and rooms on the website that do not exist.
4.0 / 5.0
Nice rooms, very comfortable big beds, complimentary breakfast on the first morning , close to times square and 34th St subway where we could get all over Manhatten and beyond
Shame the bar area was closed and vending machine out of order, also asked one night for towels to be changed and when we got back the following today these hadn't been changed, but literally 5 minutes after going to reception we had clean towels brought to the room

This property was one of the best ones I have stayed at while in New York! First, location was great and far enough away from Times Square that I didn’t feel like I was in a tourist trap. Staff was great, room was clean and spacious enough. I had zero complaints, other than I wish I would have stayed longer! This will definitely be my go to hotel from now on when I travel to NYC!
I liked everything, no complaints!
