L'emplacement.

Great Location, decent sized room for New York and nice showers.
Bed was very firm and the pillows were all high loft. Rooftop bar was closed but the free drink vouchers and the friendly service Marin gave at check in made up for it.

The lobby was nice and the hotel staff was kind.
Our room had streaks on the wall which was probably from a leaky AC unit. The hotel was also very small and we couldn’t move around comfortably. The desk was too large next to the bed so I’m squeezing around the room. There was also no trash cans besides the tiny one in the bathroom. How do I throw anything away without going down all the way to the lobby

The lifts at. Heck out and check in were crazy! Carlos at concierge was amazing and so friendly and helpful! Good location… close to everything
The time it took in the morning and afternoon to get a lift up to your room

The property is centrally located. Check in and out processes were quick.
The rooms were even smaller than expected - we did not actually have room to open our suitcases on the floor. The air conditioning unit was incredibly loud and so we could not use it at night meaning it got too hot. Whilst the cleaning staff did the best job they could, the carpets are old and very dirty. The extractor fan in the bathroom did not work meaning we had to leave the bathroom door open otherwise the bathroom smelt mouldy after each shower. One of the lifts regularly did not work leading to large queues to get in the lift. We were lucky we were on a high floor so could get in the lift on the way down - people on much lower floors at peak times had no chance. I understand this is a “low cost” budget hotel and is less than half the price of most other hotels in NY. However there is a minimum level of comfort, cleanliness, and ease of moving around that is expected which this hotel didn’t meet, we stayed in a hotel a few doors up for our last few nights at the Four Points by Sheraton as we did not want to stay here longer and had a vastly improved experience - would recommend staying there instead.

comfortable bed.
The overcrowded reception area, poor meet and greet, poor facilities and no rooftop bar due to refurbishment, one of the main reasons for booking this hotel! We should have been notified about the rooftop bar in advance of trip and given an alternative. This hotel fealt more like a Premier Inn with inflated cost.

The room with the lake view was relaxing and spacious.
No real space to do business calls / work once you have check out of your room.

Our room was old and run down! Our comforter was really dirty. The hotel was on shambles.
Everything!

Not much to be fair
Air conditioning was so dam noisy
Sink was cracked
No refrigerator or microwave as advertised
We updated to a Times Square view. Only thing was there was no view of Times Square as the hotel is a couple of blocks down so our view was of a car park roof and an office block.
Doors missing from cupboards.
Complained to staff who didn’t want to know and all this for over $300 a night. Shameful

Great location, so easy to get to all the attractions either on foot or subway
We had no hot water on checking in mid-afternoon, 3 phone calls later of the space of 2 or so hours and still no result despite being told they’d be there in 20 mins each time. It was disappointing given we had been travelling and wanted to freshen up before going out. We went out not knowing if it would be fixed on our return later in the evening, but thankfully it was. Whilst the room was small, we expected that, but bathroom was tiny with no hooks to hang things, which was the only other let down; however we made do.

Not too much
The staff was extremely rude. One manager said to me “if you don’t like it then you can leave”

The hotel location was convenient, within walking distance of Times Square. The rooms on the higher floors offered a good view of parts of NYC's skyline. Hotel staff was friendly and courteous.
AC in the room did not work for the first 2 days, hotel technician did come by 3 times but was not able to fix the issue, we ended up switching rooms on the 3rd day. After taking shower, all the floor leaks out on the bathroom floor making the bathmat wet...had to use extra towels each time to whip the floor.

Location
Had a room with no working AC in the middle of the hottest week in NYC. They did change our room.
No rooftop bar which was extremely disappointing.
Takes forever to get an elevator

Great location, small room but to be expected in NY comfy bed.
The rooftop bar is closed for renovations & this is not stated we were disappointed by this. The lifts are exactly like everyone says SLOW and packed there seemed to be one working lift during our stay. The staff were also kind of unfriendly & the room has no mini fridge. We also did not get our welcome cookies - something double tree is known for so was disappointed to miss out, the hotel also doesn’t supply any bottled water - which was a first for us.

The property is in an excellent location and the room very modern and clean.
Although the room was modern and clean, it was extremely small, which was not AS surprising. The hotel upon entry every evening reeked of Weed, and there was a crazy wait for the elevators every single day as the service staff utilize the elevators as well as hundreds of guests. This was a real issue amongst guests as well.
8.0
The location and views were amazing, the front desk staff asked us what type of room we wanted to be in and what view we liked, etc. No problems with the reimbursement or anything of that sort like many of the reviews either.
I had read some reviews before hand about staff, bad location, needed updates, and so much more. I will say that the elevators did take 10-15+ minutes sometimes, which is to be expected I suppose, but definitely not ideal. There could’ve been some updates in the elevators, our room was nice, very very small though, a shove for 2 people, our suitcase had to go right in front of the door as we only had 1 checked bag. (Small room are to be majorly expected in NYC, i’m just letting people know that they’re very small) The biggest down fall is we asked the front desk staff to be further away from the elevators, as she gave us the option to be further away, but we were the second door from the elevator and all throughout the night would hear the elevator ding. I suppose most of the rooms were decently close to the elevator, but we most definitely could’ve been further away. Also, we were not told that the rooftop will be closed for months, would’ve been something nice to know before checking in. All together, a decent stay, but I don’t think I would stay here again.

the staff was amazing. from the front desk to the Bellman. Our bellman was exceptional at giving us direction and tips of places to visit along the way. Room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable. Room was too small. it made rooms in Paris hotels seem so much bigger. felt Closterphobic. room too dark.
Though we liked most of everything, we wont return because the room size was too small for two adults.
room size and lighting in room. the access to the bathroom should be on the wall side near door not facing bed for such a small space. you should use slider door for access to bathroom versus full doors. bottom line, you need to hire a better interior space designer.

Location was good, room was clean. Bell hop/luggage handler was really nice.
Bathroom door didn't close all the way. No mini fridge (to be fair, the description of the room didn't say there would be one). Front staff, around 11am, was rude. Waiting on elevators was frustrating. They should make one set dedicated to top half of building the other set to the bottom half.

Great location, clean and tidy rooms, great views
The wait for the lift, a very long check in process. Also my friend's reservation was cancelled due to their credit card being changed which was very disappointing. Also we booked based on it having a rooftop bar which was closed.
7.0
It is located just across from the subway and within walking distance to Times Square and has many eateries nearby.
Roof bar was closed during my stay.
Neighbourhood was filled with homeless and unsavoury characters.
Staff and services were lukewarm at best.
