Very happy with our stay

Excellent location to the tourist areas, clean and wonderful staff we were able to get in contact with someone every time we called which was extremely helpful as my phone died and we couldn’t get the room and code any other way

Minor dislikes; however there was the one door in the room that looks like it goes to the room next door and they are able to lock it (not sure) but our side that the outside lock that requires a physical lock to open. Also there wasn’t access to the porch area from our room and I don’t know if there was a heater, the room got chilly

A brief and comfortable stay

I liked the accessibility and simplicity of the room. It was tidy, clean and I felt safe.

I booked and paid through Booking.com. Because there is no office on the Atterdag premises, the check-in process is not ordinary. Allegedly, I was to have received an email prior to the day of my stay to receive my room number and access code. (Depending on what you read on the interwebs, the email was to come either 48 hours prior to or the morning of your arrival date.) I checked my email in the early morning before traveling to Santa Ynez Valley/Solvang. I received no correspondence with the pertinent information. The Atterdag's sister hotel is The Viking Inn (within walking distance). The Viking Inn has a staffed office, and the kind lady there was able to provide me with my room number and access code.

Disappointing

Bathroom looked very rundown, the bathtub drain was very rusty. And no noise isolation, we had to sleep with ear plugs.

Better leveraged as a family space.

Location was slightly off the main street, so it was quiet yet close to everything. Dedicated parking lot was a nice surprise. The complimentary wine tasting (2 for 1 passport) was the best value of the package. That is worth coming back.

Minimal effort to make the space feel thoughtful and cozy. Only standard outlets and could have benefited from a few USB ports. Kitchen nook only had a mini fridge and was a waste of space. Not a good value for money at over $330.

Great location, just a block off main road. restaurant and shopping in all directions just a short walk.

the location was perfect

the shower drain was very slow and filled the bottom of the shower. I had to rush to shower so it wouldn’t overflow.

Perfect a small microwave would have helped. Immaculate seemless check in....and check out!!! Will return. Great location for walking

Not quiet

Good location.

Bad quality of the building. Not good as its beautiful appearance. The noise came from the street and the neighbors’ showering, even that night there was only one neighbor under my room. There were earplugs that were prepared besides the beds. You should know what they mean.

If you need to be near the centre of Solvang and aren’t expecting much — and only need a bed to sleep … Then the Atterda

The room was a fair size and It was close to the centre of town.

Cleanliness, Staff, Security & Location 1. Friends there for a week — They Asked for Room Cleaning service Only could get it every 2nd day. Continually- Quite Dusty in places Bathroom floor NEVER CLEANED, swept or mopped. 2. Once- Returned to find our ROOM DOOR WIDE OPEN 3. Cleaner eventually returned - surprised we were there 4. Making it worse — Our doorway opened right on to a sidewalk … What kind of SECURITY is that! VERY UPSETTING! 5. Doorway opening to side walk —- AAAHHHHH! - could hear everyone outside - Smokers gathered & loitered outside 6. Coffee & Water — frequently forgotten and needed to go to front desk 7. Staff didn’t seem interested in making any type of good impression

Nice photos on booking, but awful, dirty and outdated in real life

Hotel looks good outside and has amazing location

Don't be fooled by nice photos of the hotel. Everything looks amazing and modern on photos, but in real life it looks so bad and outdated. Outdated bathroom, dirty floors, piles of dust and hairs under beds, super loud ac unit which will prevent you from sleeping at night. You can definitely say that this hotel is not treated with love and is not taken care of.

Our stay was delightful. I would definitely recommend the Atterdag inn to friends and family.

We loved the location and how close it was to everything but still far enough to where we had some privacy. The property itself was very clean. We saw staff cleaning multiple times a day and the room itself was very tidy and comfortable.

I didn’t like how thin the walls were. Sound traveled very easily from outside to inside the room. The room did come with ear plugs but it was never loud to the point ear plugs were needed in my opinion.
