Nice place. Good location.

The staff were so welcoming and made our experience pleasant!
There was a lot of construction and most amenities did not exist in the hotel itself and you had to leave the hotel and room to obtain items. The room was dated, fireplace did not work well and the heater kicked on all night even though we did not have it on. It was quiet but missed the ocean sounds.

everything . we loved the entire place! Enjoyed the spa, the hot tub was perfect after the year we have had - the fireplace and room were cozy.
sheets were scratchy .

Perfect weekend getaway! the rooms were lovely, the staff was friendly, the bikes were so convenient to ride into town. The breakfast at the club was delicious. 10/10 recommend.

Breakfast wasn't included. We enjoyed the spa room! we where told that the hotel was in the process of adding more rooms and that the main hotel was going to be remodled. We are happy to hear that because it does need it.

we visited Avila Village many years ago for our anniversary, we love the property.
no coffee pot in the room and coffee in the lobby was cold and had to ask someone to brew new coffee.

The room was extremely inviting and clean. The privacy of the room along with the hot tub was a bonus. We felt comfortable and your front personal was very welcoming and helpful. Definitely will recommend it and try to come back again in the future.

The front desk staff were exceptional. Always courteous and very friendly. The staff at the spa were also outstanding. Maggie was stellar and very informative.

The amenities next door are great; yoga, massage, tennis, large pool, jacuzzi and a cafe! Spacious and clean boutique hotel, large bathroom/shower, comfy beds, romantic fireplace, bike rentals for the nature trails, beautiful lobby with tea/coffee, and super friendly staff. Stayed an extra night since our stay was so pleasant 😊

Everything was very nice. We enjoyed the walking path to the beach.
It would have been nice to have a centennial breakfast included.

VERY Beautiful property! Felt very cozy and relaxing. Rooms are amazing and clean.
No breakfast but other then that nothing bad to say.

The location was once incredible. Unfortunately, it is now out of the woods and into yuppie town. The inside is still quite romantic with the fireplace and log cabin elements.
see above.

location, athletic club

7.0
Quiet, serene, close to hiking trails, availability of bikes to use on path. Far enough from the beach to think mountains, but a quick bike ride away. Grounds were manicured nicely.
Overall staff at Inn and Clubhouse seemed somewhat disengaged. Not rude, just not present and attentive. Massage at spa was not what we expected for the $175 rate. No on site restaurant. Did not feel overall value for the price.

We did not have breakfast. The location is good.
I know it is supposed to be the quaint old fashion look, but think it might need an upgrade, carpets, sinks, etc.
