Amazing location in Avila Beach!

Amazing location, easy walk to the shops and restaurants in Avila Beach. The views from the property are fantastic. Plenty of family friendly activities ( pool, ping pong, oversize chess board, bags, etc ). Evening wine and cheese was a nice touch and all the staff members were fantastic.

With the renovations, the shower water pressure is very weak.

Alles in allem akzeptabel

Das Hotel diente uns als Unterkunft für mehrere Tage auf unserer USA-Reise. Wir waren zufrieden mit der Größe des Zimmers, mit der Küchenausstattung, dem Balkon und dem Ozean-Seitenblick. Man konnte direkt vor dem Hotel parken. Zu Fuß und mit dem Auto konnte man gute Restaurants und Supermärkte in der näheren Umgebung finden. Avila Beach ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt sowohl für Wanderungen als auch für Ausflüge mit dem Auto.

Im Vergleich zu einigen anderen Unterkünften fanden wir die Kommunikation zwischen dem Personal und uns als Gästen unzureichend. Wir hätten uns mehr sowohl mündliche Informationen bei der Ankunft (Hoteleinrichtungen, Reinigungsmodus, Zusatzleistungen wie evtl. Nutzung einer Waschmaschine usw.) als auch Informationen in Form einer Hotelmappe o. ä. gewünscht. Eine Waschmaschine war im Zimmer nicht vorhanden. Der alte Teppichboden befand sich in einem kritischen Zustand: Betreten des Bodens mit weißen Socken war bedenklich.

Very relaxing

Very close to the beach and good hiking trail but without the noise. Separate bedroom makes the family happy. Good coffee, tea, and board games. Great pool, jacuzzi and lawn chairs

Would be wonderful to offer breakfast too

Beautiful view, great staff and lodging that can accommodate a group!!

Great Location and view. They had a room to accommodate 5 adults in one suite that included a kitchen which was ideal for a girls trip!

Facility could use some updating for sure. An on-site cafe or bar would have made the stay even better.

Amazing location, amazing staff

The location, room, and staff were exceptional! I was impressed with just how much we enjoyed our stay there. Eileen at the front desk was amazing and so sweet! She made us feel so welcome and was so polite and kind to us all. I would definitely recommend staying here it’s worth it!

Lovely views. Used kitchen to cook some meals. Comfortable bed. All necessities for cooking and cleaning were provide

Room was extremely well-equipped and clean. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Incredible views

The suites were big and comfortable. There are plenty of beautiful common areas such as the pool and decks with view. The check-in was smooth, friendly staff, and the place has free parking. The best thing is the views of the ocean, are outstanding.

While there was much to appreciate during my stay, certain aspects of the room did not meet contemporary expectations. The hotel's fixtures and furnishings, including key items like the fridge, TV, toaster, and even the couch and bathrooms, seem to have remained unchanged for quite some time.

it was inconvenient and horrible.

There were no facilities at the property other than vending machines. The property didn’t have a restaurant or a bar. it did not even have a snack stand. And in order to buy something to eat, you needed to drive to the downtown area. it was old and dated. it had an old residence smell. And the concierge tried to sign me up for a time-share presentation.

Great place to stay on the Pacific Ocean coastal drive

Exceptional

Reception offered me a voucher for 500 IHG points and asked me to see the IHG representative to claim them. The IHG representative (who was about 5 metres away from reception) said that he could not put them on the system unless I returned in September.

Very uncomfortable and disappointing!

The location

The room was less than attractive. It had stained carpet, old furniture and 1/2 of a balcony with a 3 sided view of the surrounding building within 10ft. The staff was 50/50 for helpfulness, when available, not many to be found.

In every sense of the word, a respite, for the family especially, overlooking the perfectly quaint seaside town of Avila

For starters, the location of the SLB Inn is overwhelming, and where it sits atop that hillside perch, provides amazing views. It is as scenic as can be, and it overlooks the Avila Beach village, the beach, coastline, the Pacific… we only stayed 2 nights, and we all would have loved to stay for more. Next, the service was as prompt, courteous, expedient, and pleasant as could be. Other favorable points to mention: plenty of parking, easy to venture into town and elsewhere, clean & modern rooms, amazing views from the seaside rooms, and plenty of ‘campus’ to walk around and relax.

There was no food available which we knew before. The location was very good, a short walk to the beach and town.

When the sofa bed was open there was very little space in the room.

A very comfortable stay in a great place to visit

The location is great...close walk into downtown area. Lots of great amenities like complimentary washer/dryer. Pool & spa has nice, shaded lounge area as well as BBQ's. Upper veranda with BBQ and firepit. Game room & outside telescope that we all enjoyed.

Wonderful relaxing time

The location was nice and quiet and very relaxing. It was close to some wonderful dining and beaches.

The parking lot was a steep grade to get up or down and with bad knees that was really hard.

Great view, poor value

It's great: the view, the room and the location. Staff is OK, but not exceptional.

The time share pitch made me feel like I was in a used car dealer- not a resort.
