Not a thing.

They had a continental breakfast with a lot of choices. Also a nice fruit salad.
The road up to the rooms had too many pot holes.

One closet door was jammed shut. Drain in shower was loose. Welcome greetings left for another person. Mediocre buffet breakfast.

beautiful place , very nice staff
easy to hear people in neighboring rooms

Breakfast was adequate although we had to ask for gluten free items and decaf coffee on our second day since none was orovided
The hotel is in need of substantial renovation to repair peeling wallpaper, faulty blinds. The grounds need a total overhaul. While we were there early in the season and the only guests, the overall feeling was of a rather tired property!

I don’t have anything to say bad about the property

The original room in the main Inn had an issue, so they upgraded us. A lot of space in the new room. Dinner was excellent.
Noise from heat going on was loud. Decorations in the room were spearce, lacking. Would have liked to have stayed in main Inn.

there was no hot water in our bathroom the next morning of our stay. the actual bedroom was very tired and old, but the bathroom was newer and very pretty.

Breakfast was nice
Lots of parking
Don't get a queen room 2 or 4 they interconnnect via a door omly and we had very noisy, obnoxious neighbours which spoilt our stay, rooms were full so we could not be moved.
Check in staff gave no info about breakfast and said she had enough thay day, not the best welcome!
Why do I need to be told to give a tip at breakfast, very rude, we all know how to tip.

The community and town itself.
The driveway in back, mildew smell and wet carpets in room, cobwebs, broken shower door.

inn located in a peaceful setting
nothing

It is in a very good location on the edge of the lovely town of Essex . The food was good though a bit pricey but service was poor. The room was spacious as was the bathroom but the room was poorly lit. It is a charming old house but fails to match up to the image it tries to project.
The WiFi connection was erratic. The service at dinner and breakfast was slow. There was no “ healthy option “ at breakfast..no fruit salad, yoghurt or cereal. The choice was limited. Fruit juice did not seem to be included in the breakfast price, nor was not chocolate, only tea or coffee, but it was difficult to judge as we received a “bill” each time and were asked to sign and give the room number then told we would not be charged the amount. We happened to sit at the same table both mornings and on both occasions there was a used tissue on the window ledge by the seat. When we returned from sightseeing we found a parcel with clean towels outside our door...staff had removed towels from the bathroom but not replaced them for some reason. We saw the same package outside other rooms.
