I wish there were more outlets near the beds. 1 for phone and another for BIPAP.

Great location
Heater didn’t work properly, room was very cold. Elevator didn’t work.
Ordered fries-called down for ketchup to be brought up-never arrived.

It’s and old school hotel with an excellent location
Thin walls, falling apart doorknobs

In the heart of downtown close to everything. Rooms were clean and nice
Hear music late into the night coming from another floor maybe

Location was great ! Room was very comfy. Staff at the desk were very friendly and helpful
We missed breakfast because the book of info in the room said the tavern was only open on Sundays so I thought there was no breakfast offered. When I asked about breakfast places, i was given a great lis of local eateries but no mention of it in the hotel. Of course, as we were going out I saw the tv screen by the desk with breakfast times!🙈my fault!!!

The staff was very friendly from the minute we arrived until we left. This was a great location for us to park the car and walk around Northampton center and enjoy the shops, restaurants, and a farmers market.
I honestly can't think of anything... we had a great stay!

The location and free parking were important to me. I had lived in the area in the past and always wanted to stay at such a iconic hotel.
The tub was very slippery for a shower and the pipes banging as well as the vending machine noise was pretty startling at times. Also, the door lock hook looked like it had been tampered with in 308...bent, loose screws and chain link open.

We loved the location of the hotel. The grounds were beautifully appointed with flower baskets and flower pots. The exterior looked charming.
We were give a room with no view and that was sparsely decorated. The overall assessment is that the halls and rooms need to be renovated. The bathrooms in particular need renovation. That said, the room and bathroom were clean and comfortable.

very clean, old fashioned charm with mailboxes an every floor, coffee maker in room, alarm clock, ice maker, vending machines, sitting areas, pleasant music, encouragement to explore and relax in common areas, COURTEOUS RESPECTFUL staff. these things don't exist in hotels anymore.
The neighborhood was a bit too political for me with signs and flags. I vacation to get away from both sides of polarizing political issues.

Central location downtown. Historic feel of the hotel, but the modern amenities. Fiona a manager there was exceptionally friendly, pleasant and accommodating,
Had to go down two floors to get ice, not a big deal, only negative I can think of.

It's an historic building with a lot of charm! The garden and outdoor seating looked beautiful. Unfortunately, it rained so we didn't get to explore it more.
The air conditioner in our room was very slow to cool down the room. More variety of snacks and drinks at the front desk or a working vending machine would be great.

Comfortable bedding, soft sheets and pillows. Everything seemed fresh. Beautiful furniture and lamps.

Check in staff never mentioned coffee in the lobby in the morning.

it was centrally located in downtown Northampton . Right across the street within walking distance is our favorite breakfast restaurant - Jake’s. And a couple blocks away still within walking distance is our favorite dinner restaurant - Paul and Elizabeth’s. It was a very cold night less than 20° And I was happy to find extra blankets in the closet and that the heat was very effective. There was coffee in the lobby & a mailbox near the elevators which I used . and the concierge’s let us stay an extra hour for a late check out since we had arrived very late the night before due to snowy & stormy weather.
although the bathroom was clean and very beautiful and most likely has the original tile floor, the tile floor in the bathroom was quite cold. The heat did not seem to penetrate the bathroom unless the bathroom door was left fully open and then it took a while to warm up. Again being an old historic building I expect a few drafts, but I did wake up cold in the middle of the night on that 20° night feeling a draft directly from the window at the foot of my bed.

The staff was very professional and friendly. The location was perfect and the room was comfortable.
The amenities could have been better. Bottled water in the room would be nice. The decorations could use an update. Also, the sound from the road was loud. We paid super lower winter rates. I would have been annoyed if we had come here in the summer and paid what is typically charged.

Super central, free parking, pretty from the outside.
Outdated, room was TINY. no desk. they told me no outside alcohol at check-in, which is just super duper weird to me. like, really? I'm an adult. (but also i wouldn't want to drink wine out of your gross plastic water cups). The front desk person was very weirdly overly formal and not at all friendly or relatable. I paid a bit more for this hotel because I thought it would feel indulgent. but I should have just gone to the quality inn, where I would have had a desk and twice the amount of space, and maybe a more modern room.

Beautiful building, clean and staff was very helpful
Of course the price, but it is right downtown, and the no outside alcohol is a little bit excessive. your bar was closed ?
