This was a weird hotel with little security. I am truly surprised that Booking.com would include this as one of their choices.
It was almost like staying in an out-building with no one on staff present overnight, the outside door didn’t lock adn the door to the room was flimsy. room was somewhat clean, but no frills and check-in was very strange, cleaning lady was only person in the building.

Close to Katahdin
Run down overall but still fine - did the job but needs a general overall reno

The room was much nicer than we anticipated with plenty of space that included a table and chairs and comfortable beds. There was a mini fridge and a microwave also available in the room.
Bathroom was tiny with no room to move. The website shows there is a restaurant attached, unfortunately it is closed and finding food was not easy. With no breakfast offered, we had to travel to find a place for breakfast. With old fashioned room keys and no onsite personnel we would have felt safer if there had been someone onsite through the night.

The location close to Baxter State Park was convenient, and the reason for our stay.
Lack of on-site reception office was a bit strange, but understandable for a small motel-like operation in the off-season. There was an unused dining room from the attached restaurant which is no longer in operation due to unavailability of staff and low occupancy.

I liked that it was a smaller hotel, it was quiet and thats what you want when you just want to get away and relax
I wish there was a continental breakfast included, or at least a coffee station available throughout the day

Super nice owners. Very clean though modest. You have everything you need. There’re still working on the property and have done a nice job so far. This was a perfect place to stay for the marathon. Centrally located with an attached restaurant serving dinner and breakfast.

Jim was an outstanding host!!! He was so helpful, friendly and kind. He was also very easy to contact, both before and after our stay. His wife, housekeeping, and the servers were likewise very friendly and helpful. Jim let us use two coolers and filled them with ice so we could have a means to keep our food cool in the cabin which we rented at Baxter State Park. After our stay at the cabin, he also let us keep one of the coolers for the rest of our trip. Thanks a whole bunch!!!

The location was convenient, we were in town to visit Baxter State Park. The staff that checked us in was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and the room was clean.
The room did not have a deadbolt or any additional way to lock the door, which made me very uncomfortable. The walls were thin and people were loud in the hallway. The windows weren't insulated, so there was a lot of noise from outside as well. The room itself was comfortable, but the overall feeling wasn't great.

Simple room for a good night’s rest
This hotel is clearly understaffed. Housekeeping removed our towels (removed, not replaced!) but did not clean the room or empty the trash. Owner said new person was overwhelmed. Luckily we came back early, because there’s no hotel staff on site late at night or early morning.

Clearly the staff and owner care about making guests comfortable and are warm in their welcome and attention to the details that help achieve that goal. And the attached restaurant is really good.
The beds were a little firmer than we like, but not uncomfortable. Really, no improvements to suggest.

Comfortable hotel in a good location in Millinocket. Easy to access nearby Baxter State Park. Staff were friendly and kind. Bed was very comfortable and had ample pillows. Room was clean and neat. Hotel was quiet and we didn't hear any noise from other rooms. Fast and free WiFi. Easy to check in and check out.
Sink in the bathroom had a weird cold tap handle that did not want to work unless you finagled it. Random fly decided to hang out in our room all night.

Helpful staff and comfortable room. Had a nice lunch menu. Didn't have a chance to sample the breakfast fare. Good beds and clean linens.
It is a little noisy. It didn't bother me, but might some. I was quiet after 9 pm.

From outside the hotel is not a good looker. However, the room we had (#11) was well appointed, looking out on a green and very quiet space. The beds were comfortable and the room had a coffee machine, some (plastic) cutlery and other utensils, and a microwave. It is centrally located in Millinocket. Worth a one night stay.
The hotel is higher priced for what it offers than most similar h/motels in Maine. To make it comparable, it should offer breakfast at least.

The room and bathroom was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable.
No racks or hooks in bathroom to hang damp towels. Had to fold wet wash clothes and hand towels over sink which doesn’t let them dry before use the next morning.
