We loved our stay at this B&B. The location is perfect for visiting the Volcano National Park and the sisters running it are super nice and very good at what they do. The room and bathroom were very clean with views to a beautiful bamboo grove, breakfasts were tasty with great variety, and the outside tropical garden and rainforest walk were one of the highlights of our stay. We fell asleep to birds singing every night.

Lovely place to stay both in amenities and grounds with beautiful flowers. Close to Volcano National Park. The bed was comfortable and they had little touches not found in other places like a heated mattress pad which was great after a full day of walking in the rain and getting soaked. Gabrielle’s breakfast were beautiful to look at as well as eat. Nicole was so friendly we felt like we knew her well. Very welcoming place to stay, would highly recommend and would stay again when back in Hawaii.

Nice location more or less in the center of the village, a large parklike well maintained garden in front of the room and a small rainforest trail on the property. Several restaurants and two general stores in walking distance. The Volcano National Park is just a five minutes drive away.
The room as well as the wash room were very clean. There is a daily housekeeping. Breakfast for the next day is put in your fridge by the housekeeping. It consists of an egg-dish, some sweet component (e.g. banana-bread), fruit or yoghurt and juice. There is a coffee maker in the room.
The queen bed is very comfortable and can be heated. This is true for the room as well. Everything is nice an clean. There are a few nice gadgets like show-polish or a makeup-cleaning set.
The lanai is small but nice and the best place to have your breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the late afternoon.
Everything was perfect.

Smoke dectector was right over the head of the bed with a status light that got rather annoying at night.

Everything - the botanical garden and rainforest walk were exceptional (even through all the rain).
Comfortable room that was cleaned daily. In a quiet secluded location
no complaints about the property

The room was recently updated, very modern, and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was left in our refrigerator for the next morning and was very tasty and individually prepared. The setting in a rainforest garden was remarkable!

This is a beautiful property and one of the nicest BnB experiences we have ever had. Nicole is a wonderful host. She had great suggestions for dining and places to explore in Volcano area. The bed was comfy and the breakfasts each day were delicious. There was so much attention to every detail a guest would need or want. The lanai was so comfortable to sit on to admire the amazing rainforest. There were even blankets on the chairs to snuggle under as we sipped our coffee each morning. it couldn’t have been more perfect. We will be coming back.
There was nothing NOT to like.

The room was cozy and the breakfasts were yummy. Nichole and Gabrielle were awesome. I think the biggest surprise was how beautiful the grounds are. So many trees, bushes, orchids and songbirds. When you visit, don’t forget to read the visitors book in the room. The history of this property is really interesting dating back to the late 1800’s when King Kamehameha V deeded the property to the Lyman’s who were missionaries. Also great location to Volcanoes National Park and nearby restaurants and Art galleries.
That we couldn’t stay a couple more nights.

This is the real BnB experience. I never expected an BnB will have such rich history. The driveway and the botanic garden is so amazing. The owners, Gabrielle and Nicole, have a great taste on interior decorations. The cleaness is flawless. Obviously the owners have their idea of what BnB should be like, and execute the idea with the highest standard.

My husband and I enjoyed our room, the property, the staff and the morning breakfast. Our room was slightly larger than a hotel studio and was all that we needed. The staff was helpful in booking us a dinner reservation nearby. We would definitely stay here again on a future visit to Volcano!
The only negative (and it is more of a recommendation) is to add a comfortable sitting chair into the room.

An immaculate modern room close to the national park entrance.
The breakfast was mostly sweet items (even the egg frittata was sweet) and I never eat sweets for breakfast or drink sweet fruit juice (including orange juice). It would have been nice to have at least bread and butter and hard-boiled eggs instead of all the sugary stuff.
